Does this make me weird?

My sister claims it does -- and she doesn't let me forget it either lol.

Okay, so I'm a Disney freak. *gasp!* no news there I'd assume lol. Anywho, there are some things that trigger my "Disney Sense" if you know what I mean -- things that make me terrifically excited for our trips and things that remind me very vividly of our trips. Things like certain smells that will remind me of, say, the GF and music that strikes a Disney nerve in me...

...well I'm talking about music here. I have many songs downloaded onto my computer. One of which I constantly listen to because is "takes" me away to WDW. It is Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade. I will listen to this song day in and day out and it annoys my sister very much. I tell her "the music reminds me so much of Disney" and then she looks at me as if I had two heads and says...

..."You know, we've never even seen the parade"





So one of the songs that reminds me SOOO much of our WDW trips is one that comes from a parade that I have never seen in my life. Oh bother lol.

The same thing happens with Illuminations for me. I get the same feeling I do from MJJP with this fireworks show and to much shock again, I haven't seen this one either lol.

Does it make me weird that things I have never seen remind me so much of our WDW trips? lol.

I know!! We keep saying that every year and we never get to it. I think the problem is because we don't spend much time in Epcot - especially the nights so we are often doing other things (either at the MK or at dinner around the time Illuminations start). But this summer we are definitely going to see it. It's my goal.

right now I have Disney music playing on my computer...

we have:
-Pirates of the Caribbean music from the attraction
-splash mountain
-zip a dee do dah (also the ring tone on my cell phone)
-tigger song
-whistle while you work
-lion king
-bear necessaties...

I guess I could go on and on but I won't bore all of you!

So the answer to your question..
NO! YOU ARE NOT WEIRD!

No, I have the music/talking from Test Track, the Haunted Mansion, and the monerails on my iPod, and an excerpt from the music that plays in the French pavillion.

no your not weird. i'm a Disney freak and i haven't even gone to WDW. well when i first mentioned to my friend's that we should take a trip to WDW before after our junior year summer. and that's how it is all started. my friend's think i'm crazy that i'm planning way to early. but idc, save them money if i did. i'm so glad i found this place! thanks u guys!

I have tons of Disney music on my comp, and I have smells that remind me of Disney or Florida.

Certain types of weather remind my of WDW Florida weather.
Sometimes I
ll go outside and literally say to whoever is around "This is WDW weather!"

Illuminations is the show at Disney that can...without fail...make me cry. The emotions of unity, peace, excitement, and Disney-appreciate that well up inside are just incredible.

But no, you are not a freak. And I've talked to your sister before via PM, she is secretly just as much of a Disney freak and I guarantee she enjoys every moment that you put on the Disney music. My parents roll their eyes but the next thing you know, they are talking about Disney themselves!

I love the Innoventions Loop the best. I can nearly taste the Electric Umbrella fries

I'm exactly the same way! I even have a good example for you!

I was driving home one day after work. My car window was down because it was warm out. So I'm about 2 blocks away from my house, when I get a wiff of this tantilizing scent. It smelled like someone was cooking brick oven pizza! That smell took be instantly to Mama Melrose's, when I went there with my 2 friends last summer. I remembered exactly how I felt, how the buildings were bright with the setting sun, and the smells. It was great.

So I drove around the block and slowed down to smell it again, just to go back to MGM for those few precious seconds

That's when I realized just how bad I got the Disney Bug!!
