Wife and I are taking the 3 year old (She will be three next week) For her first trip May 17-21. Got the dining plan and we have never really done character meals before. But since the dining plan seemed like a good idea we are booking character meals for dinner each day. Here are our choices:

Thur May 18th Dinner at Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends
Fri May 19th Princess Storybook Dinner at Akershus
Sat May 20th Cinderella Gala Feast 1900 Park Fare

So how did we do? Plenty of time to make changes.

I took my dd at 3 for her first time. You did great! She will love them. You've got Cindy, the other princesses at Norway and Pooh and friends. The only ones I see missing are Mickey and the gang, but you'll see them in the parks so not to worry. Have a great time!

just a fyi...my kids were a little older when we first went but they never ate much at character meals( to much going on to be bothered with eating) so we always went for breakfast, mostly cause they were 1) less tired and therefore more inclined to eat without crabbing and 2) the breakfasts were cheaper so we didn't feel so "robbed" when they only ate a 1/2 piece of bacon and one bite of toast but wanted a snack an hr later. :rotfl2:

just saw you said the dining plan so that cancels out the second reason for you

I feel one of the best character breakfasts is the Princess Breakfast at Norway - guarentees 5 princesses and this helps you avoid running all over the park to find each one. They alternate but at times that I have been there I've seen Sleeping Beauty, Belle (in her blue and white reading outfit), Mulan, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White. Great photo opportunities as each princess personnally comes to your table for meetings....service and food is good too - all you can eat skillets (brought out to your table upon request) eggs, bacon, links, fruit, cheese potatoes (great!!) and they used to bring out waffles, but I think they stopped it. Well worth the price and accept Disney Dining Experience Discount and Dining Plan. :Pinkbounc
