Does this exist?

I am looking for a rubber case for my key fob, the one that unlocks the car doors. I have a bad habit of dropping it and it is getting pretty banged up. Anyone ever see one anywhere?

I don't know but I NEED ONE myself! I don't bang it up but my garage doors will open when the key FOB gets bumped in my purse.

The thing that goes on your keychain that unlocks your car door, sounds the alarm and opens your garage doors.
It is called a key fob.

You learn something new everyday. LOL I've never heard it referred to as a key fob. Is fob short for something or did someone just make up the word?

Can't tell you what fob is for...but I know it is called a key fob.

I guess I have just always known them as a fob. I don't know if it is short for anything either.

I am picturing something like those rubber rings you can put around keys to tell the difference between your front door key and your garage door key or some kind of case like you put around a cell phone so you can still use the remote controls. The only one I have found online is one for boating, etc. that is a waterproof ziploc type bag for it but you have to remove the keys to use the bag.

You see, I don't have a probably removing the keys because I don't keep my keys on them. I feel that the true intent of the key fob is to make it so you do NOT HAVE TO CARRY YOUR KEYS EVERYWHERE. Why would your carry a door opener (FOB) on your key ring that already has a key to open the door on it? I keep my key fob all by itself, in my pocket or in my purse in the little inside pocket. When I go to work, or shopping or anywhere, I leave my keys in the armrest thing and just have the Fob with me. Works like a charm.

Yes, I am sure it works like a charm until someone breaks into your car and steals it. I have 2 keys on my key fob, not a big deal.
