Was talking to DD earlier today and she mentioned that they might be coming up this weekend to visit friends on the other side of the lake.. She said if I wanted, I could pack up some of the stuff that I know I'm not going to use between now and whenever I get back to her house and they would stop in and grab it while they're up this way.. (They will probably come in her DH's truck..)

So - I gathered up all the water bottles that have to go back (for the deposits) and put them in a trash bag.. I placed that on the floor in front of my loveseat size sofa bed..

I took the books I already read (and were already in boxes) and put them "on" the sofa..

I took a small tote that has my seasonal writing supplies in it and put that on the sofa..

Grabbed a suitcase full of clothes that I ended up not needing and put that on the sofa too..

Am I done? Or do I have to do more?

It's depressing enough thinking about how the time is creeping up on me to close up and head back - without having to start packing who knows how long before I actually have to leave..

Does that "count" - or do I have to make a bigger pile??

It does make me sad - I love it here so much - but on the other hand, I love being with my DD, her DH, and my DGD for a few months as well.. I wish I could split myself in half - LOL..

Maybe tomorrow I can force myself to find a few more things.. And I do mean force!!

Have you ever posted lake pictures? I think your lake house souunds like heaven. I so get why you dont want to leave. Just remember whatever you send now you wont have to deal with sending latter.

No - I've never figured out how to post photos here - although I did try last year on the Christmas tree thread..

As for the portion of your response that I underlined, you sound like her.. LOL - just kidding..

Those kids don't realize how easy they've got it.. They just hitch "their place" up here to the back of the truck and drag it home.. No packing needed..

Maybe I should have this place put on wheels...
