Does the Pleasure Island bus stop operate in the afternoon?

We need to get to and from the West Side one afternoon for a special event at the Cirque theater. We will be finished about 2pm and are planning to head straight from there to Typhoon Lagoon. Our plan was to walk over to the Pleasure Island stop and hop a bus from there to Port Orleans and then catch the bus at Port Orleans to Typhoon Lagoon. I got to thinking, though, that maybe the busses didn't stop at the Pleasure Island stop until evening, in which case I guess we would have to walk all the way over to the Market Place stop.

Any ideas? Or can anyone think of a better way to get from the West Side to Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon?

Sorry. I didn't see that post pop up again after your reply about not knowing for sure if that bus stop operated at that time, so I didn't realize that the question of whether or not the PI bus stop operated during the day had been answered on that other thread.

Also, I've checked several other websites and some books and the info. they have seems to indicate that there is not a direct bus from Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island to Typhoon Lagoon, that I would have to transfer at a resort - so I'm just trying to get it all straightened out.

I'll be the sole adult in charge of 12 young teenagers, so I just want to make sure I have the best and easiest plan possible. Sorry to irritate you.

It's common for the same bus route to serve DD Marketplace, DD Pleasure Island, and Typhoon Lagoon. For example, a bus makes the rounds through the various stops of OKW, and then goes to the DD Marketplace, DD Pleasure Island, and Typhoon Lagoon.

Chances are that if you get onto a bus at DD Pleasure Island to Port Orleans (or to many other resorts), you'll stop at Typhoon Lagoon on the way. Just ask the driver before you get on.

Going from Typhoon Lagoon to DD Pleasure Island is another story. I don't think many buses go in that direction, so you may need to connect at a resort if you want to return to DD Pleasure Island after Typhoon Lagoon.

Thanks. I appreciate all your help!

Ask the bus driver, I'm not sure if they can add a stop at TL for 13 passengers.

Florida tends to have afternoon thunderstorms during much of the year. The buses from DTD will sometimes stop at TL during a thunderstorm to help get everyone out but that won't really help you. I'd have a plan "B" ready.

I think it will all work out well for you. There should be a lot of buses that can take you and the teenagers to Typhoon Lagoon. You shouldn't have to wait long, since so many buses make that loop.

You didn't irritate me. I'm sorry if I came across as irritated in my first post in this thread. I was just surprised.

It's not a matter of adding a stop. Many resort-to-Downtown Disney buses have routes that go from Pleasure Island to Typhoon Lagoon as a matter of course.

Similarly, the bus routes from the resorts to Animal Kingdom often also include Blizzard Beach.

Disney tends serve the water parks by adding them to other bus routes, not by having buses with a water park as the only destination.
