i'm thinking of using Rev. Jack Day since everyone seems to love him! but i just didnt' know if i'm supposed to invite him to the reception or not. i'm guessing no. that poor man would get so burned out on wedding cake!

We asked Rev.Jack if he would like to stay, but he declined.
I think it is courteous to ask him. I read somewhere that they never stay.
You will love him, he is just wonderful. He will get down on one knee, kiss your hand and treat you like Cinderella!

That man is so busy, he will shake hands when you're finished with the ceremony and away he goes!!

Trust me, I don't think he minds much being invited or not. He is so booked up with weddings!

We didn't even get a handshake, we just turned around and he was gone. I think he doubles as Superman on his off time, because it was like that, here one minute, and the next we were all asking what happened to him. He didn't even wait for a tip, had to give it to the EM to pass on. He's such a wonderful man though. Deffinatly worth a dinner if he'd stay, hehe.

We used Rev. Jack too, but he stayed for our cake cutting. He even gave the toast! Our BM couldn't make it for medical reasons, so it was nice that Rev. Jack hung out and gave the toast. We had ordered non-alcoholic cider along with the champagne, he had a glass of cider and a piece of cake, gave our toast, hung out for additional photographs on Sunrise Terrace with us, and talked about his wife. He gave us some wonderful marriage advise and was funny. He was so friendly, it was great to hang out with him!

i think its a nice gesture to extend a reception invite to your officiant. we did for reverend tim but he declined, which from the boards i think is typical the officiants rarely go to the reception as there so busy.
