Peanut butter? Jelly? Milk? Sunscreen? :confused3I am taking a spur of the moment mommy/DS4 trip Feb 27-March 3. This is my first time at the Hojo and our first trip without DH or DS1. I won't use $50 in grocieries to have delivery and won't be renting a car. I was hoping to not have to check bags to get these items. Any input would be great!

Also I can't seem to find out how late pirates cove is open, thanks!

The mini-mart @ Hojo is one of the best hotel sundries store I've ever been in. It has pretty much everything. I know they have milk and sunscreen, and I think they have jelly. I'm not sure about peanut butter though (my DD is allergic so we don't really shop for that item).

I don't know offhand about how long Pirate Cove is open, but I bet if you look on their website, you'll find that info. Have a great time.

Stayed there last June. I remember a mini-mart between Hojo and Maingate (so it can't be very far) that seemed to have more stuff than the Hojo. Don't forget Mimi's next to Hojo. If you sign up for their e-mail club about two weeks before you go they'll send you a coupon. We used them multiple times for takeout and ate in our room. Micky-D's and Quizno's very close too. Have a great time.:thumbsup2

I'm pretty sure they would have peanut butter and jelly. We brought pb and jelly with us, but we bought a loaf of bread there. It was either $3.65 or $3.95 for a loaf of Albertson's bread -- one of those loaves with lots of smaller-size sandwich bread. (That description sounds a little silly...hopefully you know what I mean. :)) I remember seeing meat for sandwiches, so I'm sure they would have pb and jelly as well. And here's a picture of the size of milk they sell. This was the only size -- I think it was $1.79. Somewhere around there. And a tip about the fridges...we found that the milk froze if it was kept in the door shelf or if it was pushed clear back on the normal shelf. We didn't have a problem if it was pulled forward on the shelf. Didn't seem to matter what the temp. setting was.

And yes, they have sunscreen.

Thank you all so much. That puts me more at ease, I'm really trying to do this on the cheap so we can afford to upgrade to annual passes  I figure we'll share a meal or 2 at the park too. Thanks for the tip on the milk too, DS would be a little upset about frozen milk. Maybe that's a good place to put our waters?? :goodvibes

Also how big are the fridges? Will it fit milk, jelly, a couple of waters and some bread? Thanks!

We had the frozen milk problem happen before too.

You should be able to fit all of that in there. We can fit a couple of containers of milk, several water bottles and uncrustables with no problem. :goodvibes
