You are saying the PPH leaves Rice Krispie Treats in the room? Since when? We stayed there last year in September and there were NO treats of any kind! Maybe you stayed in a concierge room? I WISH we had treats! We are going there in October, but I don't expect to see RK Treats!

We did have concierge that time...maybe that was it.....They left us 5 mickey mouse rice krispie treats for the family :) I thought they always did that there...what a bummer

It MUST be the concierge service, BUT since they try so hard to accommodate their guests, when we go in October, I am going to whine and whimper for at least one treat! We don't need FIVE of them (though that would be nice), but TWO would be good. In fact, now that I think of it, when I made the reservation, I think I neglected to tell them that we would be celebrating a birthday, which they like to know in advance, so maybe that will get us a RK treat!

To tell you the truth, that $12 per day "Resort Fee" is supposed to include a newspaper in the price, and we didn't even get one of those last time!

We were at PP in Jan. of this year and nope, not RK treats for us. We were not concierge but we were celebrating a birthday, of course it was a 32nd b-day but still.....we were supposed to have an autographed photo from Jasmine (DBF's fave Princess) or Alice (DBF's fave ever lol) but we didn't get either. We did get a gift basket but that's because I ordered it. LOL

could have been a magical moment... on our second day at the disneyland hotel we were given cupcakes and chocolates and the card said it was from the staff/magical moments...

So basically they did nothing for the birthday at PPH? Not even any pictures! That sucks! When we went to GCH last December, I DID remember to tell them we were celebrating birthdays (different ones), and because we got there super early in the morning, the lady at the desk was very nice and gave me birthday buttons and special Million Dreams treats/pins that she kept there for special occasions, and she gave me another voucher for some more pins at Acorn Gifts that were not part of the package. So they at least TRIED to do something. PPH had better start putting Treats in people's rooms who have birthdays, and they had better dig up a newpaper from somewhere since it is included in my resort fee!

Okay, so I have to ask? Were YOU in a concierge room at DLH? Or just a regular old room? Cupcakes and chocolates? This is madness! :scared1: It DOES seem to be very random. I think you are right - probably Magical Moments. Or just whatever they feel like doing at any old random time, they do, and if they don't feel like it, they don't!

Did you come back to your room on day 2 to find that stuff there? Maybe you stayed for several days or more and they wanted to reward you?

I know there will be treats left in my room on our first day only because I'm dropping 3 bills for em! If I knew there were going to be free treats I may not have gone through the trouble!

Nope, nothing, I even told the lady who took our ressie that we were celebrating both a birthday and first time trip for a 21 y.o. He grew up in NY and had been to WDW but not DL. She asked who their fave characters were and I told her DBF's were Jasmine and Alice, told her my BFF's DBF's faves were Buzz and Jack (from Nightmare, not Sparrow) and she said there would be something in the room for both of them..nothing, not a picture, not a button, nothing. We did go to City Hall and the First Visit button but DBF didn't want a birthday button so we didn't push it on him. I was very disappointed actually.......

I don't blame you at all for being disappointed. They should not tell you that there will be something in the room and then not deliver it! That is terrible and I wonder if it was the fault of housekeeping or of Guest Services. One of my married friends who will join us in October for part of the time wants her husband to wear a birthday button around the park, but doesn't know if he will agree to it. In order for it to take full effect, you have to have time to not only go on rides and have CM's wish you a happy birthday, but also go to restaurants and shops, where sometimes they give you free stuff if they see the button! I don't think my friend and her husband will be there long enough to do all of that, so he may just get some Happy Birthdays thrown at him and that is it!

I had vacation planning put the request for the autographed pics. She said that they only have certain pics of certain characters. But they should have left you something. Ours was waiting for us at the front desk. They said we had something 'special' waiting for us. I have also them give balloons to kids when their parents check in.--We did not get any of those. I would sen vacation planning a email and see what pics they can do and have ready the next time----they should give you two each :)

Last time we stayed at GCH it was my DSs 5th birthday. I told them this when I made the reservation and in the evening of his bday when they did the turn down of the beds, they set up a little birthday treat for my son -- an autographed picture of Pooh, a bday button and two bday hats. Funny thing is they also took a picture of the bed all set up and left photo as well. A little odd, but I was glad, as I got to the room later and DS had already gotten into bed, so I didn't get to see the bed all set up, but I did see the photo they left.

That's really neat! We are staying at GCH and celebrating dd 9th bday. I'll have to remember to mention it.

RK are a concierge perk. I believe all 3 of the hotels do it.

Black and white autograph pictures can be requested by any guest. In my experience you need to remind them even if you requested it before your stay. I know they have Mickey, Minnie, Buzz and Woody, and the princesses- not sure who else.

We just got back from PPH and there weren't any treats left. However when we stayed at DLH in December we had chocolate and cookies left every night on our beds. My grandkids loved it. lOL

They also have pics of Tinkerbell, Beauty and the Beast, Pinochio and Gepetto and I think Pooh too

The treats in my siggie were from our first night at PP (concierge). We came back to our room after dinner and there they were....YUM! :goodvibes

When I stayed there in December (no concierge) we got nothing.

regular room.. my son was bummbed when he opened the door.. he told them they had the wrong room we didn't order anything lol.. then the lady explained it was part of magical moments and if we were not there they would have left them for us and that it's totally random. The boys were so happy!! and jumping up and down.. Really cute..
