Does the DLH gift shop sell bottles of wine?

We are staying club level but chances are we will get back to our room around the time that CL closes, so I am wondering if the gift shop sells wine by the bottle? Pretty certain the wife and I will need to unwind with a bottle of wine or bubbly after a long day in the parks.

When we don't bring our own wine we just have the Lyft driver make a stop at the Wine Exchange. It is right next to the 55 on the way from SNA.

I am guessing the DLH gift shop will. I know the GCH does.

it has been years since we stayed there but there used to be a small shop next to the gift shop that would sell wine by the bottle and swimming pool stuff.
With the shut down of covid not everything is back up best to check to see if it is open when you check in. Enjoy your trip.

I know the Acorn shop (GCH) does, but it was overpriced and the red (Merlot?) we bought was not all that good. IIRC the brands had ties to Disney (Fess Parker, Silverado, etc).

That being said, some of the wines we bought at WDW, while expensive, were really good!

They also sell decent wine (and it's not too expensive either) at the Trader Joe's stores. Think the nearest one is in Orange, but they need a store in Anaheim, certainly.

This is true. TJs has great prices on alcohol, but honestly so does Target and there is a Target not too far from DLH, so if the OP has a car, that's where they should go.

Eh, whatever. The EU allows it in food, and they have much higher standards than the FDA.

Not every scary sounding chemical is bad for us.

I just don't understand why they can't just use milk, cream, and pineapples to make a dole whip? Do all of those gums and artificial ingredients really make it taste any better?

Because it is designed to be made in a soft serve machine. You cannot put a standard ice cream mix in those. It would be too thin and the ice cream would have an icy texture and wouldn't dispense correctly. Soft serve machines require the use of stabilizers since the mixes never contain egg (which makes traditional ice cream thick and creamy).

And also, you can't mix pineapple directly with milk or cream. The enzyme bromelain in the pineapple makes the milk solids curdle and you are left with something that tastes similar to vomit. Seriously. Try blending pineapple and milk in a blender at home. It's gross.

The small gift shop that I think does have wine typically closes around 10:00 or 11:00. HOWEVER, Trader Sam's doesn't. My DH always stops in at Trader Sam's while DD and I go upstairs to start showering and he gets us each a drink and brings them to the room. Trader Sam's has some really good drinks to unwind with.

She is all about the “go bring us back a drink from the bar” so that is good to know that they are open late.

The CVS & Walgreens on opposite corners of Katella & Harbour have a lot of wine available at fairly reasonable prices. They're about a mile walk from DLH.

There's also the 7-Eleven stores too, they have a small selection of wine available but it usually is decent, not too badly priced either.
