Does the Contemporary Garden wing rooms have mini fridges?

For my wedding I’m staying in a one-bedroom villa and planned on buying a bunch of food and drinks for everyone getting ready with me in the morning. But my room probably won’t be ready until 4 and we have a lot going on that day to go to publix in the late afternoon. My parents are staying at the Contemporary garden wing room and are checking in the day before. Does anyone know if this room has a mini fridge? I was thinking of buying everything and storing it in their room until I can move it to mine later in the day. If there is one, is it really small? Was thinking of buying a sandwich platter and having orange juice and champagne to make mimosas. Will there be room?

Yes CR Garden wing rooms do have a small refrigerator. No I do not believe a sandwich platter, or and champagne will fit. If you disassembled the sandwich platter into baggies that would likely work

It's a smaller dorm sized refrigerator. Not like the undercounter refrigerators in the DVC studios. This was a refrigerator in our hotel room at the GF a few years ago but the one at the contemporary may be similar.

Looks great. But I don’t believe a sandwich platter will fit in there without some intervention.

We had several bottles of champagne and orange juice in the mini fridge prior to the wedding and got some platters from room service that did fit in the fridge in the room we were in, with the leftover orange juice and probably one extra bottle of champagne. If you’re talking a sandwich tray from outside, you might want to bring some baggies or plastic wrap and disassemble.

The fridge in our room was larger than the model pictured above. It was still dorm sized but not quite that small and was in the area outside the bathroom. It wasn’t much bigger but like the next bigger size up. You may need to get a little creative but it’s workable.

As to the original question, for your future info, every single resort room (non-DVC) on property has a mini fridge.

For our wedding in 2012 we got ready at the Contemporary, in the garden wing. For the record, they replaced all the fridges since then. They are all, property wide, the same as the one in the photo. Only difference is a few of the newest remodels now have fridges with glass front doors. They are same size though.

Hmm, must not have noticed the last couple trips. Usually we don’t need a lot to be refrigerated. Thanks for the heads up!
