Does the Cheerleading Competition greatly affect the crowd levels . . .

at the parks during the day? I would think that they would be competing during the day and the parents would be watching them. Just trying to figure out what to expect. We'll be there the weekend before President's Day weekend and was hoping for smaller crowds. Can anyone tell me?

I've been twice in the last few years when they are there. We've never noticed a crowd level difference with them there. I hear the resorts they stay at notice a difference. In the later part of the evening we'd notice a small difference here and there but nothing out of control.
If you look at their schedule they only have 1 day set aside for the parks. That is 2/14. So, that day may get hectic, but other than that I don't think you'll notice a difference.

The only park where we really noticed an impact on the crowds was MGM. The competition was held there, and they girls would get out and ride the rides in between when they had to do their routines. We saw them at Epcot as well, but really just near the entrance, after that, they seemed to disperse.

Ok... I went with a group of cheerleaders once. Lemme try to tell my story.

The first day we were at the parks (went to MK) we really didn't notice anyone there (actually it was the least crowded day) until lunch time came around. We went to Columbia Harbour House and it was jam packed with the cheerleaders who won first place. The cheerleaders who were there for competition left the next day. We didn't compete just performed. When we went it was also like spend an hour in one park, go back to hotel for practice and meeting, back to another park etc. I actually don't remember even seeing any of the other cheerleaders in our group the whole trip.
