Does the Beauty And The Beast stage show have a backstage meet and greet after the show?

When my mom and aunt got to see the Beauty And The Beast stage show at Disney's Hollywood Studios during my first and only Walt Disney World trip in 1997 my mom told me that she and my aunt found out that the Beauty And The Beast characters did a meet and greet backstage after the show and I want to know if you had noticed this when you have seen the Beauty And The Beast show at Disney's Hollywood Studios? From what my mom told me she and my aunt saw Belle and Gaston in the meet and greet but since they had no autograph books they didn't go to the meet and greet? Do they still do this at the Beauty And The Beast stage show today and is this Beauty And The Beast meet and greet not very well known because few people know about it?

I have not heard of this happening currently and it is not listed in the character meet n greets. Belle meets in Epcot and Gaston sometimes meets in the MK (although not listed for today) but I don’t believe what they experienced in the past still happens today.

I just saw the BatB show last month and didn't see any signs or anything about a meet-and-greet after the show and didn't see anyone waiting around.

Not after the show unfortunately ….

Belle meets in France in Epcot and with select guests after enchanted tales in MK

Beast roams Be Our Guest

Gaston used to meet in MK but I don’t believe he ever returned after the pandemic

When and where did the Beauty And The Beast characters start their meet and greet directly after the Beauty And The Beast stage show? Because according to my mom she and my aunt saw Belle and Gaston and The Beast greet fans in the audience and the audience would go on stage to meet them and get autographs. And my mom told me that there was character handlers leading people to the stage to wait their turn. Of course as I told you in my opening post my mother and aunt missed their chance because they didn't have autograph books and my mom and aunt had to see a parade. Do the Beauty And The Beast characters still do this meet and greet after the stage show today?

Possibly your mom is thinking of the greeting that takes place after the, ‘Enchanted Tales with Belle’ attraction in the MK? What you’re describing is very close to what happens there.

Belle is the only character at that attraction though and there are a lot of guests chosen to participate in the story and afterwards each person who participates is invited to take a picture with Belle. She does not sign autographs but they do give out bookmarks to all in attendance with Belle’s autograph.

Have never seen a meet and greet at the Beauty and the Beast stage show. And we sit right down in the front typically with an ECV. And we always take our time leaving (chill in our seats a bit) to avoid the huge crowds. We have seen the show many times since 2002 and never seen a meet and greet. And at least 10 years now with the ECV.

Saw the Beauty and the Beast show first in 1998. There was no meet & greet after the show then.

There isn’t a public meet and greet after the show. Perhaps they saw someone being granted a magical moment. My avatar is from a magical moment.

I don't ever recall that happening. You used to meet the Beast at the restaurant and Belle can be found in Tales with Belle when it is open.

There was an Enchanting Tales With Belle meet and greet in the place where Merida currently meets. Maybe that is what she remembers. The Current attraction "Enchanting Tales With Belle" opened in 2012 with the Fantasyland expansion.

One more thing as I reread the post... I really do not think Disney would want guests on the stage. I would think that would be considered a potential liability if a guest got hurt on the stage. Or too easy to get to the backstage area and mess with something that could break and prevent a future show.

Select guests? How does that work?

Enchanted Tales is a brief retelling of the movie with some of the audience participating as characters. The volunteers (usually mostly kids) get to meet Belle after; sometimes siblings of volunteers will go up with their sibling. If time permits people who did not participate are invited to go up.

One time over a decade ago, we were walking up to BatB and a CM asked me if my then 4-year-old daughter wanted to do something really special. Of course we said yes! He led us to the very front of the theater and at the.end of the show (immediately after the cast took their bows) my daughter was led up to receive the felt rose that Belle was holding during curtain call. She got to.hug Belle and the prince and get her picture taken with them. It was all very fast and she was the only one that got to do that, so I wouldn't call it a meet-and-greet, but maybe that's what your mom is thinking of? I don't think they do that anymore sadly.

That's exactly what my mother and aunt were gonna do when they were finished watching the Beauty And The Beast stage show and according to my mother a cast member invited my mom and aunt to the curtain call that you are describing but my mother and aunt declined it because they didn't bring their cameras and my mom and aunt had to rush to a parade. But my aunt really liked the Beauty And The Beast stage show because it was her very time seeing it. And my mom saw the show for the second time and she had already saw the Disneyland version with me and Dad and Mom wanted to show the Beauty And The Beast stage show to my aunt because she had never seen it before and she loved it

Same for us, except we’ve been coming since it opened.
There has never been a regular meet & greet after the show, just a few times we’ve seen magic moments or families on Make a Wish trips

Agree

We’ve seen that too, but not every show

Just a side note, but I sure do miss the Four 4 A Dollar "open" for BatB.

Didn't know anything about it the first time I saw BatB-totally fell for it.lol

Good times.
