Does Target still sell physical Disney gift cards?

I popped into Target today to get some Disney gift cards. My local store said they don't sell them in-store anymore. They sell a Disney TICKET card where you scan a QR code and select the ticket(s) you want to purchase. I just wanted straight up Disney gift cards that could be used for anything. Has anyone else come across this?

I have seen them at my local grocery store, and bought one just last week, but I haven’t noticed in the Target stores near me. I did notice that if I try to shop for them on the website it says they are not sold in stores (Physical cards, not ecards) so it’s possible that it’s a regional thing for Target.

I saw that on the website today as well.

Lately I have been getting them at Albertsons with my rewards. I will pay $5-$15 for a $25 Disney gift card. (I can't buy the gift card only with rewards...but if I throw a few groceries in there that I would normally buy, along with the gift card, it works out overall to pay $5-$15 for my $25 gift card and my groceries are just considered full price in my budget.)

One thing to watch is that some physical GCs can’t be used in the parks. I am not sure that was your intended use since maybe you were just going for the 5% Red Card savings, but if someone is trying to get a physical GC to use in the parks, make sure to read the fine print on the card.

Thanks. I ended up going the e card route. Wanted that 5% discount!
If you want a physical card and have an old empty one available, you can transfer the funds from one to the other on the Disney gift card website. I have an old card where the card number is large enough to read without a magnifying glass, so I always move new cards to that one for using on mobile orders.

I've never seen a Disney gift card that couldn't be used in the parks, is this a new thing?

What do you mean? Is there a physical Disney gift card that can't be used in the park or do you mean some places in the park don't accept them (like food carts)? I've never heard of a Disney gift card that couldn't be used in the parks.

I can only speak about Florida Target and WDW. I always get our Disney GCs from Target, to save 5% off when paying with my RedCard. There are times that they run out, especially before a school holiday, but they are back in the store usually in a couple of weeks.
Our last trip, a few weeks ago, I saved over $400 because I have been buying WDW GCs from Target throughout the year and use them to pay for the room, tickets and spending at the parks. Also, I have never had any issue using my physical Disney GCs that I bought from Target in the parks, and we're talking years and many trips. I do use the disneygiftcard site to combine all the GCs that I purchase throughout the year to make it easier to manage.

So you can buy Disney gift cards at 5% off with a target redcard? And then you can combine them all onto one card to use when you go on vacation?? Am I understanding this right?

Yes. On disneygiftcard site you can enter your GCs and then combine up to $1000 onto one card. On our last trip I had 3 GC's that each had about $900 on them, that we used for spending and paying off our room charges.

I usually have 2 gift cards. One physical one to use in sit down restaurants so I don't have to hand them my phone to pay and one digital one that is easy to copy and past the gift card number into the Disneyland app for mobile orders. For non-mobile order quick service or for merchandise I can use either of the cards depending on which one is easer to access the time and which has more funds left on it.

I'd like to know too. I intended to buy one to be used in the parks or the Disney store in Downtown Disney.

I will take 1 GC with a small amount on it to the parks but I usually leave the bigger GCs in the room safe and just let my family charge using their MB's. Because if I lose a GC anyone can use it and our MBs are PIN protected. Then every 2-3 days I will pay the room charges off at the resort with my GCs. This also allows more family freedom where the person with the GC doesn't have to be there for purchases all the time:)

Wow...that 5% really adds up then. I think we need to do this next time for our food and souvenir purchases!
