Does Sun Country credit for lower fares?

With Airtran, when the price drops, you can get a credit. Does Sun Country do the same? Ugh. I bought on Tuesday, I think it was. Yesterday they dropped the price by almost $100 (for my family...not per person). Would they give me a credit in that amount?

Why not call them and find out, rather than relying on second or third hand information from this board.

Editing to add, per their website, change fee is $75 per ticket.

I plan on calling tonight but can't from work :) Just thought in the mean time if anyone had concrete first hand knowledge of it......

I saw the $75 change fee info...wasn't sure where fares dropping played into that!

SunCountry is not a major airline by any stretch, so I think people's experience on this forum is going to be somewhat limited.

Of the major carriers the ones that offer credits for lower fares are SouthWest, Airtran and JetBlue.

That said, I think their website offers a pretty good idea that they do not offer credits:

Sun Country said:
Coach Tickets
Coach class tickets are nonrefundable and may be changed at any time for a fee: $75 per domestic ticket, $100 per international ticket including flights to Europe. Name changes are allowed for an additional fee of $75 per ticket. If the fare of the new ticket is higher than the original fare, the fare difference will be added to the change fee. If the new fare is lower, the difference cannot be refunded, credited for future travel or applied towards the change fee. Travel must commence within one (1) year from the date of purchase. A non-refundable ticket reissued toward travel in First Class remains non-refundable. No credits or price adjustments are made if the fare changes after the ticket has been purchased. Tickets may not be applied towards the purchase of a Sun Country Vacation package.

Considering they don't refund/credit even if you pay the fee to change your ticket, the chances are pretty much slim to none.

ha ha! I called last night to ask and the girl said "I wish we were more like Airtran in that respect, but no, we don't!". I figured there was no harm in asking...but thought it was hilarious that she made the comment about Airtran...
