Does Schwab's Pharmacy serve egg creams?

I checked your menu sticky above and didnt see one for Schwabs Pharmacy.

I was wondering if anyone knew if they serve egg creams?

Whats an egg cream? According to Wikipedia:An egg cream is a beverage consisting of chocolate syrup, milk, and soda water, probably dating from the late 19th century, and is especially associated with Brooklyn, home of its alleged inventor, candy store owner Louis Auster. Modern versions of the drink contain neither eggs nor cream, although earlier versions did include eggs in the ingredients.The egg cream is almost exclusively a fountain drink. Although there have been several attempts to bottle it, none has been wholly successful, as its fresh taste and characteristic head require mixing of the ingredients just before drinking.

I've always wanted to try one and thought maybe this being an old-timey soda stand they might have them.

Isn't Schwab's just a Ben and Jerry's? I could be wrong, but I though that is what it is now, instead of a full soda fountain.

there are tables inside where you can sit and enjoy the ice cream treats.

the places are different from each other.
i have been to both and if you only want the ben and jerry type of ice cream treats, don't do schwabs.

Do they serve Ben and Jerry's then? I recall seeing some sign about Ben and Jerry's there, but I'm glad to know that it is actually a soda fountain, I just assumed it was run of the mill. Thanks for informing me!

Exhibit A:

My husband is from Long Island and this is one of the very few things he knows how to make.

Take a tall glass pour in seltzer water, but leave about 1/5th of the glass open for syrup and milk. After you pour in the seltzer pour in the chocolate syrup like you are making chocolate milk (a tad less as it isn't supposed to be too sweet) then top with milk. Stir gently and it will foam up like you see in the picture.

It wasn't open when we were there in Sept 2010, loved it in 2008. Is it only opening seasonally now?

It didn't used to be...I used to get Vanilla ice cream sodas there....soooo good, but that was a long time ago

Yes you are right they used to serve egg creams too! Along with the best turkey sandwiches. Bummer - its just a Ben and Jerry now.
