Does Room Availability Change Frequently??

Hi!

I’ve been looking at the Poly and BC for the past couple of days and I swear that availability has fluctuated almost HOURLY. Is this normal - just people cancelling - or is it Disney releasing new blocks of rooms and having them booked up?

I think a lot of people cancel, change rooms and just play around with their reservations. It's always a good idea to keep an eye out if you really want something that isn't currently available. Also, probably has to do with the computer algorithm. If someone cancels a room it could change the date range that is now available for a different room.

People are changing their plans with Disney almost constantly. So yeah, they can change that fast.

I've changed my resort four times in the last week! Nutters!

Its normal variation. There are over 20,000 rooms at WDW. People book and cancel all the time.

I’ve had good luck snagging rooms after 10 pm EST on several occasions when I wanted a specific type of room during extremely busy times it year. You should play around with your search, because you may be able to break up your trip into multiple reservations to build your desired time that’s not available when you plug in the while range. I had them link the reservations together and didn’t have to check out/ back in. I was trying to find a room at the Poly!
