Does receiving one of those post-visit survey postcards increase chances of pincodes?

I have read about others getting the postcards for surveys before, but I don't recall anyone mentioning if they increased chances of other offers.

I got my first postcard today to take a survey about our recent stay at POR, so I was wondering. I had fun sharing my thoughts on the survey, but was just curious as to the pin potential, lol.

I hope that participating in a survey does increase one's chances of getting a code. I make sure that I participate in every survey that Disney sends to me.

In my experience it doesn't. Over the years I've responded to probably at least 7-8 of the surveys. Never have gotten a pincode

I completed the survey and received a free room upgrade on my next vist. Don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but it can't hurt to complete it.

I always complete the Disney surveys. We have been upgraded many times but I have never had a pin code, never received any special offer postcards or emails either.

Thats ok, though. I think the upgrades were pretty special!!!!

What's the best time and place to ask for an upgrade? What's the best way to ask?

We have reservations at the Swan (and a Starwood Preferred Guest member) and would love to get an upgrade. We have a 7 night "plain" 2Queen bed reservation now.

My husband will be adding points to the SPG plan before August . Do you think that would qualify us for an upgrade at the Swan?

What kind of upgrades are there besides "room views"?

I guess I just got excited seeing a postcard, lol. I did the survey, it was nice being able to share my thoughts. It was regarding our stay at POR, which was terrific, so it was nice to reminisce (even though we got back at the beginning of the month, reminiscing was nice)

I'm with you. I have done every survey sent to me (6 trips last year 2005, and 5 trips in 2004 and 5 trips in 2003--60 visits to WDW so far) and I've NEVER gotten a pin code. I've got one in my bag to do today for my trip 2 weeks ago.
