Does PayPal charge extra for a Canadian buying a US product?

I'm looking at ordering a book from a US company (it's the Guide to the Magic for Kids Book and would be ordered via http://www.guidetothemagic.com/shopping) - the author has offered to ship it to our resort room for when we arrive to avoid the dumb freight costs to ship to Canada. If I sign up for PayPal and pay with my credit card, do I get charged extra by PayPal for anything or would I just pay the total charge for the book itself?

The recipent would pay the PP fees associated with the transaction.

I could not edit my first post.... but wanted to say you can normally avoid setting up a PP account if you're not planning on using it frequently.
