Does parking always open at 7:30?

I see on Universal's website it says that parking opens at 7:30, is that true for all days no matter when the parks open? One of the days I'm going the park opens at 8 so I was hoping to be through health/security check and walking to the entrance by 7:30.

They will stipulate which parks open early on their website. People who are staying onsite and people who have Premier Pass and people with Preferred Pass (on noted days) can utilize the early park admission which is one hour before park opens to general public.

If you are in the groups noted above and say regular park admission is 8 am for general public and the early park admission is for both parks. Then those folks would get in at 7 am. They usually will let them in about 10 to 15 minutes early. About 6:50 to 6:45.

If you are not staying onsite and it’s a weekend being there at rope drop will help.

I'm not staying onsite and general park opening is at 8. That is why I was curious if parking really did open only a half hour before the parks did. I wanted to be in line at the gate for opening and not still trying to get through the screening process.
