Hi!
We have a reservation for dinner at Ohana in January.
Does the dinner always include entertainment? What kind if so, and does it vary?
Thanks!

From the Disney website:
Family Fun
As you savor the all-you-care-to-enjoy, Polynesian-style delights, delight in coconut races in which children armed with brooms sweep coconuts across the restaurant’s hardwood floors. The fun continues as everyone is encouraged to play with hula hoops and dance to island music.

Fortunately (or not, depending on your viewpoint) this generally happens earlier in the evening.

Word of advice, if you do not wish to chance a stray broom/coconut to the shin ask for a seat away from the "racetrack". Last time I was there I got smacked twice in the shin by some overzealous racers.

The only entertainment I've seen when at 'Ohana for dinner have been the coconut races and then a solo singer that wanders around the restaurants (he's was also the MC for the coconut races when I was there).

Definitely stay away from the aisle tables. We had to hold on to plates of food on our table because if not they would have gotten knocked off when the kids came by during the race. My kids were not interested in participating in this, so to us this entertainment really detracted from our dining experience.

I forget her name, but she's Hawaiian. She sings and interacts with all the guests... SHe also does a conga type line with the kids...But I don't recall broom races, in the last 3 or 4 times we've gone.

When I was there for dinner they were teaching hula dancing! All who participated got leis!

Agree. I'm all in for fun, but getting hit in the shins with hard coconuts & having to hang on to dinner plates for dear life is not my idea of a good time.
