When the room type says oceanview does that mean
you will have a porthole in your room?
thanks
first time cruiser trying to plan...

Yes Oceanview room is a very large porthole view. Be aware though that if you reserve a room on deck 1 it will be two smaller round portholes as opposed to the large round one on the other decks. :)

Yup. It means you get a nice big porthole. We got a Cat. 8 room with a porthole on our cruise and loved it. A balcony would have been nice, but since we only did a 3-day cruise, it wasn't worth the extra $200-$300 IMO. The porthole was VERY large and the room quite spacious IMO. You can see some pics of our porthole room from our vaction photo gallery below. Just go to Day 6.

I was looking at your pics. They are really nice. It was really neat to see a familar face in your pics. We had Ferhat as our head server in Sept. He was wonderful(always smiling and cheerful).

we have stayed in o/v Cat 2 and been on both Deck 1 and Deck 2...either if fine. I didn't mind the two smaller port holes...but I did like the larger one better.
