Hours do get shorter during the fall. You can check past hours on allearsnet.com.
I have not been to Liberty tavern nor Ohana's yet so I don't know which would be better. I have heard great things about Ohana's and if it were me I think I would go there first (but you did say how much you love MK)
When we are going to MGM we are also going to eat lunch at Sci Fi. We are going to eat a late lunch and then get something light to eat somewhere and take it with us while we wait for Fantasmic.
Fantasmic is supposed to be great so I would say it's a must do.
( I have been to WDW many times but not in the last 7 years so we are looking forward to all we have never seen before)

I would go to Chef Mickey's if you are interested in a Character Breakfast. We are going there for dinner since my husband loves goofy. Otherwise I don't know if that is one that I would pick. But it is fun I hear.
We are going to go to B&C at some point for lunch.

Well that's a few of my suggestions.
We have been looking up a lot on here and I'm an insane planner
so what I've been doing is looking on here and seeing what most of the people are saying.. seeing how it matches with our likes and dislikes and it all seems to be coming together.
Check out Allearsnet.com also since that site has given me some great ideas.
Many people will come by i'm sure and offer many great suggestions. Good luck and have a great time!!!

just wondering how old any kids would be...all day at a park even in the fall can wear kiddos out....

All day every day will be very tiring (forget the kids, I would be worn out after 3 or 4 days!). It really will be tiresome after a while when you can't readily go back to your resort and chill for a bit. And keep in mind that the longer period you are planning, and the more exacting the schedule, the greater the chance that it will all fall apart -- all will be tired and cranky, then kids and spouse will rebel. It is hard to plan a morning to sleep in, but it will need to happen a day or two.

Also, don't plan every meal. Make plans and priority seating for the must-do's, then just generally have an idea of what else sounds interesting and fill it in during your trip. I tend to plan things to death, but realized fairly quickly that you really can't plan every day to the nth degree. A certain amount of flexibility is essential.

And perhaps I missed when you are going, but if Mickey's Not-so-scary Halloween Party is scheduled when you are there, it IS a must-do in my book!!

This past Wednesday we went to MK.

We ate at the Liberty Tavern and enjoyed ourselves very much it was just my DH and I. I was surprised with the characters Minnie, Pluto, Chip & Dale that came by a few times for pictures.

We also went for the Fantasmic Dinner Package and liked it. The dinner was buffet style with a good selection. I've read on these boards where some don't like it, so it's a matter of taste.
They give you a voucher and instructions on where to go for the show. The advantage is no waiting. The day we went it was crowded. While they were waiting the crowd started to do the wave. It was funny.

You get seated on the far right of the seating area. I personally enjoyed the show. Expect a light mist of water :)

We are going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on Thursday.

Any suggestions? That means that I'm moving Typhoon Lag. to Thursday so I can go to MNSSHP that eve.

How early do i get to MK for that party?

Do i have to wear a costume (2 adults)
::yes:: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Just a remark about your first day. You're cutting it very close to leave park at 4:30, go to your hotel and then be back on property by 6 pm. Even though your hotel is a mile and a half from Disney, you'll still have to deal with traffic. Disney is a huge place and it can take 20 minutes just to get from place to place on property. Our last trip was offsite and it took us a good 15-20 minutes each way and we were within a mile of the Disney property. You may want to consider a later Ohana's PS so you're not rushing.

no, we don't have any kids, just us 2 adults going!

Taking that into consideration, any suggestions for restaurants??
We are also going to MNSSHP!
::yes:: :space: :cheer2:
