He is a good eater but won't eat anything but Mac and cheese or chicken nuggets. Do we have to pay out of pocket or will he get a meal on the free ddp?

If the child is 2 years old and free for park tickets/dining plan they do not get a meal. They can eat off your plate and you can even make them a plate at buffet type restaurants. But if you want a separate kids meal at another kind of restaurant or quick service place then you pay OOP.

At buffets he can get anything he wants. But at CS or TS restaurants he has to eat off your plate, or you can order him a meal and pay OOP for it.

you have the option of upgrading him to 3 yo and getting the dining plan for him. You will be required to purchase park tickets for him with your package.

have to decide what works better, paying out of plan or purcahsing tickers

Sometimes you can use a snack credit to get them something to eat. Otherwise purchase a kids meal OOP.
