We’ve realized that on our previous trips, our son only used the app to check wait times, etc. Now with Genie+, we are wondering if he’ll need access to our plans as well. And if so, how do we do it?

My now 13 yo has the app on his phone and signs in with my account. I guess I can get him his own account now, but having access to mine has worked fine. He even texted me when we were on an adults only trip after getting a push notification that Remy was down during our lightning lane return window to make sure I was aware
We had difficulty signing my 15-yo up using the web/desktop version of MDE. He had to be 16 to have an acct. I was able to bypass this by having him sign up using the MDE app on his phone. He then had to send me an invite and then we could link our accounts. We wanted both our kids to have their own accounts on MDE so that if they go off on their own, they can use genie+/LL and mobile order.
Only thing I would be careful of with sharing your MDE with a child is to remember that they could cancel reservations by mistake if they’re not paying close attention to what they’re clicking on. This happened to a family we were traveling with when their 11 yo cancelled a dinner reservation they had planned for well in advance. Im sure it’s not likely to happen, but it’s good to be aware of the possibility.
