Like I am waiting for these last two nights for my Nov. stay. Yesterday I was put on the waitlist for my last three nights. Today I call and lo and behold the next night is available so now I am down to two nights on the list. SOOOOOOO.....I was wondering if MS can tell if we call say TWICE IN ONE DAY TO INQUIRE about a certain room at a certain resort on a certain day. :rotfl2: Will something be flagged on our acct?? Is there something to indicate that 'OH IT IS HER AGAIN"

I hope not because we'd all be in trouble at one time or another for it. :rotfl:

Which nights are you holding out for now?

Nov. 25th and 26th. We decided to come home Thanksgiving night again...did the same thing last year because the airfare back is so much cheaper. So we eat our Thanksgiving meal at lunch.

Yes, MS can "see" your call record. IMO, it shouldn't make a difference, but they do have access to your prior calls - with the disposition of each including date, time, MS rep, purpose and outcome.

Sort of off topic but I have a questions for the OP....

You say you were recently put on a waitlist for three nights. Were they continguous? I thought that waitlists were now being filled only in their entirety, not one night at a time? I was hoping that they would fill individual nights if available and am wondering if that is what happened to you....

Yesterday I was put on the waitlist for 3 nights and yes she told me the waitlist had to open up for all three nights for me to get them. Well when I called she said that she had an open dedicated 2br. on the first night of my waitlist so she booked that and changed my waitlist to two nights. I just happened to call at the right time. I originally called to change my 2 br. dedicated to a 2 br. lockoff because yesterday she had 5 nights in a lock off or 4 in a dedicated and I went with 4 in a dedicated. After they closed I thought maybe I would just go with the lockoff instead to get that extra night.....so when she checked....she saw I could get the 5th night in the dedicated.

Shoot !! I was hoping.... After all the recent changes, it is the changes to the waitlist that seem to annoy me the most. I really think we should be allowed to take the risks of the individual day waitlists if we want to.

Glad to hear that you timed your call well ! By all means, keep calling repeatedly, I would !

I know.....and I plan on calling often. That is why I asked if they kept records of phone calls...some flashing light and siren will probably go off when I call. :rotfl2:

As previously said, I would just seriously keep calling to get your dates. I haven't kept up with the changes as of late as we've been gone the better part of 3 months, but in the past, even with the old waitlist system, I would call and almost magically a room I'd requested would be available on one of my waitlisted nights, even though I always would just go with any days that would become available.....

Oh, and yes, they know when you've called and why... I know this because it was mentioned to me on one call where a MS rep asked me why I'd already (and was currently) calling for the dates I'd previously waitlisted. Of course I told her if she looked more closely she'd realize that I'd gotten one of my nights on that call! Rooms come available on certain nights all day long, every day of the year, it's not until midnight that they sync those rooms with waitlists, unless they've changed that system in the last 9 months...

It must drive some in MS nuts to know that some DVC members know the operation of the software system better than they do! You have just pointed out an inherent "flaw" in their system.:rotfl2:

I called back to ask a question yesterday afternoon......about my waitlist at OKW AND just asked if the 24th or 25th was available just to check again. She said "oh you are waitlisted for those and if a day comes up then someone on the waitlist will get it" I explained to her how I had called that same day in the morning and was able to get the 23rd which I had been waitlisted for as of Sat. So...it does pay to call back and call often I guess.

I am going to be so self-conscious from now on!!!:scared:
