does mission space have a chicken exit?

There are multiples, all the way up til the 'very end' per a family member (I haven't made it down there... yet). All I can say is that he said he wished he had used it...:p

First time I got in line for it, I chickend out just as they were about to load into the four person seating area..The CM had me follow him back around and out and I walked down this huge hallway to the exit area...I did ride it once, once was enough thank you..!!!.........

If you chicken out right before the ride, you can just exit the way you would if you were going to get on the ride. Once you are on the ride you are not going to be able to get off.

The other thing to keep in mind is there must be a certain number of people in each capsule for the ride to work. My DD chickened out before we were about to get on, so I took her off while DH and my other DD stayed. It took FOREVER for them to come out. When I asked why it took so long they said because they had to find another party of 2 to put them with, they wouldn't let them just ride alone (the 2 of them) in the capsule. I believe it has to do with weight distribution and the motion that the ride takes when it spins.

My 80yo Mom & I love this ride! We rode it 4 times during our last trip. But, yes, you can chicken out right up to the point of loading.

is there stuff to see in the line before you get to the ride itself?
i'm thinking that DD and i will go through the line with DS and DH the first time they ride it, just to see what the line looks like..
we can't ride it due to severe motion sickness, but i at least would like to see how the building is set up on the inside...

There's a lot to see before the ride. My favorite was not the various warnings or pictures of people in the ride capsules during the ride as I was a tad bit nervous before riding. The have a huge spinning space station thing, someone know what it is actually called, that is interesting to watch. They also have a moon rover, correct me if this is the wrong item, on loan from the Smithsonian. There are also facts and pictures about the space program. Can you tell I was trying to keep my mind of the ride while I waited in line.

They must be able to run the ride with only three people in a space capsule because I've opted out all three times that I've waited in line with friends and family. I suffer from motion sickness so much that just riding in a stick-shift car can upset my stomach! The displays in the queue are definitely worth waiting in the line for. In fact, that goes for all the attractions I can't do, such as Rock'N'Roller Coaster, etc.

I think DH did say they would have let them on with 3, but since there was only 2 of them (after I left with one of my DDs) they had to wait for someone to go in with them. I didn't realize that at the time we left.

I took a LONG time for DH and my other DD to finally show up, BUT the great thing was that the DD I took out had a WONDERFUL time at the end of the attraction where they have a 'game' you can play with a group of others--something to do with space (I didn't play, I just sat and rested).
