Does Mission Space end the same?

Everytime I have gone on MS, the same ending always happens regardless if everyone does their "jobs" correctly. Are their alternate sequences or does hitting the buttons not do a darn thing?

Hitting the buttons appears to be irrelevant.

I did both the green and orange versions last week for the first time ever and loved it! Green version is very mild, milder than Star Tours IMO. If you don't hit the right buttons, there will be announcement of 'automatic controls override'. The first time we did it I thought our foursome were all navigators :lmao: Turns out only one of us was supposed to be.

No alternate sequences. Rider actions have no bearing on the outcome. Such a thing would have been a nice thing to build into the ride, but that would have required more $$$ and better Imagineering.

For those interested, the Green Team and Orange Team experiences are the same, except one has gthe G Forces and weightlessness that result from the full spinning version of the ride. Otherwise, visually, it's identical.

The ending is always the same. If you push the buttons or not. We've had kids in there and their arms didn't reach that far. We tried to push the buttons for them but it didn't matter. And the show is the same in the green and orange versions.

so, if we go on the green side, is the ride just a simulator of a blast off?
no one gets sick on the green side, right???

Our buttons were broken so even though we pushed them, every time we got the control override message. Didn't matter though, the ride is great! (Orange! Original and best!) I wanted to go again but no one else did so I was out voted!

I'd say to use Star Tours as a guide - if you can do that without getting sick, then you'd be fine on MS green side. My mother gets sick on Star Tours, so we're keeping her off any version of MS!

They should make it so that pushing the buttons in various orders creates a different experience. This would be a great way to pay tribute the (superior) pavilion that MS replaced: Horizons.

Always does. I once went on MS with just my dad. He was engineer, and I was Commander. I reached over to hit the Pilot's buttons. No one was controlling the Navigation. Lol. We arrived to Mars Safely.

I've done both sides and while the stuff on the screen in the same, the difference is the G forces. I still felt the same when we blasted off but mainly because it appears you are on your back looking up at the sky before blast off. That's where there are no G forces but there is on the Orange side. To us, everything else going to Mars felt the same.

And I wouldn't gaurantee no one gets sick on the green side. Just remember that whatever side you choose, you can go through the preshow and if you want to bail, it's easy. Just tell the Cast Member when you exit the preshow area. You can even bail right up to when you get into your capsule. The Cast Members here deal with it all the time. I don't think I've ever gone on this attraction, either side, where everyone who entered the preshow area has actually ridden.
