Does ME bus driver insist you put your carryons under the bus?

I think I read on the boards that carryons were stowed under the bus. Have people been able to bring theirs aboard, or have they had to put them in the luggage storage under the bus. DH refuses to stow his under there as he carries the digital camera and DVD player in it and we just saw a show on travel scams on the travel channel that showed people grabbing people's luggage from under the bus as it is loading and taking off with it. I told him I would inquire from you guys if any of you have been able to bring theirs aboard. Our carryon is a wheeled pilot's case. Tx.

We brought ours aboard, there was room in an overhead compartment to stow it. You also could have just put in on the seat next to you. Our ME bus was only about 1/3 full. The overhead space does not have a door, though, just a band to hold items in.

They don't insist it at all. They encourage, but don't force it. We had a couple of carry ons and had no issues bringing it on board.

Our driver didn't even mention it. My daughter and I both carried on rolling backpacks that had our electronics in them. I would put them under the bus.

Our driver was nice and friendly! I would recommend using ME.

I would not put my bag under the bus with over $1000 in camera equipment in it. They would have to put me under the buss with it. :rotfl2:

I agree with all of the above. We had the driver load whatever carry-ons we wanted stowed, and we took the rest with us onto the bus (there were 6 of us). No problems at all. For instance, I took my camera bag which has my video camera and my digital camera. No problems at all. Feel free to relax.

And by the way, for me it was 25 minutes from getting into the LONG DME line to having our bus pull out of the airport. The check-in line went FAST because they had 14 CMs working.

Computers, cameras, sensitive electronics, please take on board. But, on a full bus, all carry on's must fit under your seat or in the overhead. Otherwise it needs to go in luggage compartments.

Seats cannot be taken by computers and other electronic items.

Really, the ride below is same as ride above. If you have electronic equipment in your luggage, let the driver know up front, so he/she can deal with it.
