I was thinking of getting a device to add the app to but I was thinking of getting Samsung Galaxy tablet ? Does the app work well with that ?

I have a NOOK HD+ that runs Android with an overlay and I can't install MDE either. I don't think Disney plays nice with Android tablets in general. I think they did phones because they pretty much had to but a lot of their games aren't compatible either. You'll also notice that their new Disney Movies Anywhere app only launched for Apple devices so far. They no likey Android.

Disney is currently blocking the install of MDE on Android tablets for some reason. I've sent a couple of emails to them requesting a reasoning for this, but I got no response.

I've been meaning to try to sideload the MDE apk from my phone to see if that works, but I haven't had the chance.

Well that's not good because I didnt want a phone but just the tablet:(

The iPhone version looks pretty much like the Android version. It works decently, though it could have faster load times. As for the tablet version, the iPad version is far and away the best, but I'd prefer if they ported that version to android tablets. Even people who have managed to force load the android version on their tablets, it still looks like a blown up version of the phone app. I have both an iPad mini and a Nexus 7, and I prefer to use the Nexus 7 over the iPad. I check back all the time, and no mention anywhere about a tablet version for Android.

Yep... it stinks. I don't know why Disney has yet to release an Android tablet version.

You can buy a cheap, unlocked Android phone and use it without a SIM card. You can get the 4.5" Moto G for about $180. That would work well for MDE.

I have an LG Ally Android version 2.2.2. MDE worked well for me for about a year and then stopped posting wait times about 4 months ago. The problem is it does not allow me to download the new version. I get a Phone upgrade in a little over a month so it is not a killer but I did find it frustrating that the new download version would not work with a phone that was less than 2 years old. Actually it didn't work with a phone 1 year old. Have the same problem with Android tablet others have mentioned. I guess Apple and Disney cut some deal and their system is more favorable to Apple than Android.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 3, and it doesn't work at all. I always wondered if it was my provider or the phone that caused problems, guess I will be using my upgrade for an iPhone after all...

Android phones work fine, it's just the tablets that are not compatible and can't download the app.

it works fine on my Nexus5... I've love to run the ap on my Nexus 10 but as of now we can't.

I have an LG phone and have had no issues with MDE.

I recently bought a Asus notebook and tried to download MDE through the Play Store, no go doesn't even show as an option to download. Then I tried to link my phone and tablet through Google Play and it downloaded all of my apps from my phone to my tablet EXCEPT MDE.

No MDE on tablets unless it is Apple.

Boo Disney.

My mom had the kindle hd last summer and had some problems connecting. She had no issues with her iPhone 5 nor did I with the most recent iPad and iPhone.
