Does having 430pts put you in the heavy hitter club?

Hey, I like the idea of our own beer and wine. And our new slogan can be, "It's 4:30 somewhere!"

Oh no no no! 430 points => not heavy hitter

450 points => heavy hitter

Umm, I happen to have 450 points.

Now that's funny.

If I add on at KTV/KTR/CRV/Mystery Building Exhibit A, I foresee a 500 pt ownership in my future.

One thing that feels good is seeing all the possibilities now open to me without banking and borrowing. My goal is to always underspend so I end up with a surplus the next year. If I can get to the point of having my total allotment banked then I'm forced to use 430 pts in a year.

Pretty soon I'll just have done with it and move there.

This does beg the question, what do all of you do with your 400+ points?

I figured about 10 possible use years all under 430 (just for kicks). The only things that seem to break the bank are premium stays, grand villas and grand gatherings. (One reason I'm not heartbroken my brothers keep declining invites because their kids must stay in school. Gradeschool that is. Lord help them when the kids get to high school age. They'll never travel again.)

If you do those add-ons, then you will have more points than I (using the King's english). I think there's a rule against that. Nobody shall add on and have more points than I do. I think...

LOL...Right! A surplus of points..............:rotfl2:

You on a roll tonight.

Laughing at me, Mr. Smartypants?

I'll have you know I started with a 100 pt surplus. This year I was going to end up with a 25 pt surplus. With the add-on, it's more like 127 pts. Women always know how to work the system to save for rainy days. That's why men fear us. :flower3: ;)

The key is to always add-on AFTER you've made your vacation plans for the year. Then you bank and save for the next year.

I've also managed to stretch one $350 AP into 4 trips in a year totaling 55 days ($6.50 per day to visit the parks... that's cheaper than a matinee movie at home).

Yeah, I know... Show Off!

We have 690 points, all at BWV and all the same use year. :woohoo:This year we have invited DW's family down and are putting them in a Grand Villa and a Studio while we stay out at FW. And I still have 436 points to bank. I will use those 436 for an OKW visit in October with some left over for our annual Spring Break trip. Then....in '10 we will do a cruise with our two sons and their families.

I have over 600 points and it keeps me in my comfort zone. Not a heavy hitter. Always room for more points.

Before the add on, we had 5 points left until October 2009! :scared1:

But we do have a November trip booked, three rooms for December booked, Plus we are going April 10-12, May 23-26 and July 3-7. We may end up canceling two of the December rooms, which will give us 200 points back.

Unfortunately, we can only stay in studios when we don't take the kids. When we have them, its two bedroom units all the way.

I do believe you guys are in the "Holy S---- here comes the dues bill" club.

DH was surprised at the bill this year! He definitely wasn't buying with his eyes wide opened! I think we're finished (for awhile at least). 855 points here, with 280 bought in '07, 140 AKV and 140 BCV.

Michelle must love you!

We usually go twice a year (sometimes 3 times), and stay in a 2 bedroom for up to two weeks each time. We often will drop down to a 1 bedroom after our guests leave, so we are able to stretch our points in that way. Believe me, 450 is NOT too many! The only time I think it is too many is when I see the maintenance come out of my account every month!

With 520 points in 3 contracts we have rented a few also to pay those fees or buy airfare to DL. This is first year I am currently totally out of points by this time although because of banking and borrowing we have 524 between the 3 contracts for 2008. Now need to get planning for the Sept. trip since the next trip is less than a week away. Don't foresee any addons as the mfs are about at our limit unless we win a big lottery. Guess we'll just stay in the medium hitter range if there is such a thing.

We own 500 pts and I would love to add on one more contract. I currently have no pts for 08 in one contract and only 90 pts left in 08 in the other contract so we still need more pts. MORE, MORE, MORE. Maybe we should stop going to disney 4 times a year!!! No WAY!! If they do announce Contemporary I will somehow try to convince my DH that we need MORE!!!!

Well... not sure what a heavy hitter is, or does, or implies.... :confused3

Now you take BWV Dreamin's Uncle Rocco who's been known to break a few knees....
