We are new to the forum but NOT new to the Fort/DW (hello!) however...our friends just stayed in PC and during their stay received a printed card on the nightstand offering a discount on their next stay. We received an email offering a discount on our next site booking at FW but of course could not access it with no internet service  The question is this: does FW put a note on the check out papers they leave on the MH in regards to this deal? Or can you go to the customer service counter at FW and ask them if they are offering this deal to you (would they have it on file there?)?
Sorry for all the questions but we missed our last discount offer and don't want to miss out this time (Mother's day weekend)! Thank you!:goodvibes

We stayed @ Pop Century 3 1/2 weeks ago! Yes they had a document on table. The discount did not apply to Campsites - just Ft .Wilderness Lodge and other hotels! Not campsites! Plus there are some blackout dates noted!

What you are asking about is commonly referred to as a "bounce back" offer. When staying at a resort, there is usually (but not always) some form of an offer in the room. From what others have said, it seems that when staying at Fort Wilderness, these offers are sent out by email and most people can't access it until they return home (bounce back offers normally have to be booked while you are at a WDW resort).

Probably the best thing to do is to call the bounce back number from the house phone at the comfort station to see if anything is available. I think the extension is 8844 but you could also call direct to 407-541-5554.

From what people have posted, sometimes the offer applies to camp sites and other times it's only for the cabins. However, it doesn't hurt to call and find out.

Thanks for all the tips! We are going to try to access our email by our cell phone web browser as well as checking with the "bounce back" number! Looks like the weather will be great this weekend and DW is psyched to spend Mom's Day at the Fort!

Contrary to what the previous poster said, I don't think there has ever been a bounceback offer made for campsites. I received my first bounceback email ever when I was at the Fort last month, but the offer was only for cabins and other resorts-not campsites.

Also, do you know about the Triathlon going on at the Fort this weekend?

Do you have a question?

Is it about the Triathlon?

If so, here is a link to some information:

We were at the Fort for Mothers' Day 2009 when this event occurred.

Here is a trip report from that visit:

TCD May 2009 Trip Report

This event will have a big impact on things Sunday morning. There will be no boat transportation from the Fort, and entry and exit from the Fort will be affected while the race participants are in the area. It is all handled very well, and is quite a spectacle, but it makes for a crowded feeling at the Fort, especially in the Settlement area on Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday morning.

If you have a question about something else, you will need to be a bit more specific.

Thanks for the heads up Tri Circle D! We pretty much have no plans in particular for the weekend parks -wise (Epcot seems to be the one place DD's/DW would like to go), and the girls cook mom a big breakfast at the MH on Sunday so we will just chill until check out. We stayed at the Fort during spring break one year and it was SO CROWDED even at the parks the wait times were 100 minutes!!! No thanks! We are lucky to live only an hour and a half away so we choose to avoid those times (and don't sweat it when an event or two are scheduled when we do stay- we can always come back next month)!:thumbsup2
