Does everyone make room request?

We always just request connecting rooms. When we are staying at CBR, we also request to be anywhere BUT Trinidad South.

I usually request upper floor for sure and this year requested a certain building at the Poly. However, next time, I am toying with the idea of calling CRO and telling them to cancel the room requests I made for GF (first trip) and let them put us where they want to...maybe what they choose will be better than what I have picked out!

I'm debating this....originally I was going to because I'd like to at least try to be as close to the kiddy pool as possible, but we have connecting rooms (grand gathering) and the other party is checking in before us...so I'm pobably gonna let the chips fall where they may and hope for some Disney magic...

As ususal, I stand alone. I have requests on my ressie and fax it. Nothing real big, just top floor and used to be nonsmoking. No longer an issue. For my first trip to POFQ I'd paid for a waterview and gave them room #'s for each non smoking building according to the unoffical guide. Last trip, I just wanted building 3 top floor non smoking.

No we arent stuck up fools that are too bit ch y to just stay where disney puts you. So, NO we dont ask for rooms requests.popcorn::

We'll be staying at POR, planning on requesting a room in AB vs the Mansions based on environment, we'll see how it goes.

We didn't request anything at the GF and we were upgraded at check in.

We only requested "quiet" for FQ and it was, we got the back side of a building, on the ground floor which worked out great with our toddler and stroller. I wouldn't have liked being on the front of that section with all the walk by traffic. (toddler still naps)

The only "requests" we make are the ones we pay for and no smoking. You know Woods View...I'm gonna pay extra for that so I don't know if it really counts as a request!

We had the unfortunate pleasure of staying in Trinidad South our last trip. It was awfully far to have to walk to get to the main building. Especially when my DD was already worn out from a long day at the parks. My DH ended up with her on his shoulders a LOT!! The resorts should offer wagons or strollers like they have at the parks. They would have soaked me for a lot more money if they had!!!

Requesting connecting rooms in POFQ in Feb. as there are 6 of us. Other than that I've never made a request and don't plan to!:)

I have always made room requests. My requests have always been fulfilled.
Nothing too fancy. Used to be non-smoking for medical reasons, but now they are all non-smoking.

For POFQ, POR and the one time I did CSR I asked for a specific building and a corner room.

This time around I made requests for BC, but nothing too big. I requested a room with a daybed and pretty view. :)

I try to be pretty generic when I make my requests. It's always done well for me at Disneyland, but we'll see how it does at WDW. At CSR we have a king bed room, and all I requested was that it was as close to the convention center as possible. Then when we move to WL, I asked for a king room (we have woods view), in the north wing, upper floor, as far away from the lobby as possible. Hopefully, since we're going in January, it won't be too much of a problem getting what we request.

I will tell you that I didn't request a room in advance, but when we checked in I had NO IDEA that there was a Toy Story area at the All-Star Movie. My son LOVES BUZZ. I asked the man behind the desk what are the odds of us staying in Building 9(TS) He said SURE, he also told me to request it when making reservations they will be happy to try and accomodate us. They really do help you out if they can.
:cheer2:

I don't know of any other resort in the USA other than Disney that does not allow you to confirm your request at the time of reservations. Any other hotel I can specify pool side King for instance and have it confirmed. Disney prefers people to book a room and they hand them out as they see fit.

The only other hotels that do this are non-resorts such as Motel 6.

Only made a request once (well,OK, we've only been to WDW twice so far :lmao: ) and got it. I asked for Tokelau at the Poly.

This time I didn't put any request for POP or AKL or ASMU, I did ask to be in Casitas 4 at CSR because the resort is so big. Hopefully we'll get it :)
