Does everyone in your party have to use Disney Dining?

Is it possible to get the dining plan for 4 out of 5 in your party? We are also interested in the Fantasmic dinner package - will we have to pay for everyone even if one doesn't eat? We have a child (actually considered an adult by Disney standards) who will probably only be eating at McD's. Is there many of those on Disney property. Thanks for any input!

Yes, everyone in your party must be on the plan.

Not sure about your other questions. Sorry.

There is a McDonald's in DTD and places to get Nuggets and/or fries in Epcot and AK.
Yes everyone in your family must be on the same package to take advantage of the MYW Dining. You have to be there the same number of nights, have the same ticket and all be on the dining plan.
Are you asking about the Fantasmic dinner package if you are using your dining credits, or if you are paying OOP? I think you are able to share, but I know someone here will know for sure. HTH

There is also a McD's near Animal Kingdom/Coronado Springs. I don't think Disney provides any transportation to it, though.

The Fantasmic package would be out of pocket (I hope that's what you meant!) It would be great to have dining covered before we left but I don't think we could all eat enough to make it worth our while.

mamacass,
We (3 adults) used the Dining Plan in October and we loved it. We also saved a lot of money. That said, I agree with you that it is not for everyone. We have been to Disney many times and we no longer try to maximize park touring times. We also like a sit down TS meal each day, so for us it was perfect.
We found that most TS dinners took at least an hour and a half, which would have impacted our park time, if we were concerned about that. The You also need to plan your days and make ADR's in advance, which can cut into your ability to be spontaneous.
Have you checked out the menus at allearsnet.com to help you decide. You can look at all the restaurant menus, and decide where you might like to eat. Then check out the cost of the items you would be likely to order. Add it up and see if you might save money.
Whatever you decide, have a great trip!
