Does everyone do room requests?

Thing is I know what the surprises can be. As a result, when we get boardwalk view at BWV we always request above 1st floor because the only rooms on first floor are those sitting level with the boardwalk where your porch is blocked in and thus you cannot actually walk out to the boardwalk but if your curtain is open, everyone walking by can see directly into the room.

When we get AKV Kidani savanna view we request close to lobby because far from lobby can mean 1/3 mile walk from the lobby to the room and you can end up on Pembe savanna which has no giraffes.
