Me and My DH don't eat breakfast, but my two kids want to do a couple of character breakfast. Can we take them and just the two of them eat? Or do we all have to order something?

Thanks
:confused3

I'm sure that someone in here will know better, but I remember reading that at LTT there is an "entertainment" charge for those who do not eat. Hope this helps.

I would assume a buffet style they would have to charge you, I know they do around here even if you say you are not eating.

Why don't you consider a late character breakfast instead? Make a very late ADR and that way it's more of a brunch/lunch meal for you. If the kids need something the second they wake up give 'em a granola bar to hold them for a couple hours.

There are also character dinners available that may fit your family better.

As far as I know, most of the meals will charge everyone at the table for the meal. I believe that some of the meals in the MK offer an "entertainment" fee option rather than charging for the buffet- you'd need to call to confirm that though.

You do not have to order when there is a menu but if it is an all you can eat buffet, pre-plated or family style, everyone will have to eat/pay.

I always thought that everyone at the table would be charged, whether they eat or not. But on our last trip in Feb. we went with a large family group. When we ate at Biergarten I fed my extremely picky DS 11 before we went because I knew he wouldn't eat anything there, but I was fully prepared to pay full price for him. My DSIL checked in our party, and without my knowledge she told the CM that my DS wouldn't be eating, and they had no problem and didn't charge us anything for him, not even for his lemonade! I never would have even thought to ask.

So I guess you could go ahead and ask about it at check-in, but I'd be prepared to pay full price.

A CM will sometimes not charge a guest who literally doesn't eat anything or occassionaly just charge an "entertainment fee".

Plan on paying full price for just a cup of coffee, glass of juice or a danish. Look at it this way, the actual cost of the food is only a fraction of what Disney is charging. You're paying for the atmosphere and characters more than the food.

Biergarten is an exception ;) They have a posted entertainment fee that they tend to waive for kids. A family that sat at our table brought a hot dog in for their son- they were fine with that - no charge for him but they charged an adult sitting at the next table that fee last summer though. He was drinking quite a lot of beer and enjoying the show LOL

I have noticed that the character meals charge you for entertainment but I forget how much.

A bunch of us went to Japan for dinner and friend did not want to eat so she told the waitress and was not charged anything.

Couldn't you do character lunches or dinners??

As a former waitress (college years) I wouldn't be very happy to have two childrens meals from a party of four.
