Does DVC discount cruise points?

I was just looking on disneycruise.com and noticed that the cost was cut down to $299 pp for the 3 night cruise. My question is do they ever lower the points for dvc members? It would be crazy for me to use my points when the cash cost would be so little.

I don't believe they do, which is why some folks are of the opinion that using points for a cruise is not worth the cost (rent the points and use the cash for the cruise).

I do not believe that they discount points for initial bookings. On our last cruise, we were given information that said if we re-booked a cruise while on board using points, it would be for a discounted amount of points. I think it was around 7 points per person though, not a real huge amount unless you have several people traveling.
