Does BOMA have some normal, less exotic dishes for my hubby & kids

I'll try close to anything, LOL:lmao: but hubby & kids are pretty picky, plain eaters and I hope there will be something on the buffet at BOMA that they can enjoy too. I know the kids will be totally fine with chicken fingers and mac n cheese. Can hubby eat the chicken fingers and what else would he be able to eat? Thanks so much for the input all:thumbsup2

Your husband can most certainly partake of the kid foods. I know I have before and I'm 34!!! However, every man LOVES the prime rib at Boma. Sometimes I'll make three trips up there for this. I think your husband will find plenty of options, especially when it comes to desserts! Gotta love those zebra domes!

Very encouraging :) Thanks for the quick reply. I have reservations there for our arrival dinner:banana: I can't wait:cool1: I am not the picky one of the family and I don't really like to label my hubby and kids "PICKY" or weird eaters because they just have their tastes and I have mine. It is comforting to know that there will be choices for them. I look forward to trying everything:goodvibes How is their macaroni and cheese by the way? My kids and I :lovestruc LOVE MACARONI AND CHEESE and a good kind would be awesome! Thanks again:goodvibes

I think there is spaghetti and meatballs in the children's area. And I remember french fries (plus the chicken fingers and mac & cheese already mentioned). I am pretty picky myself so I usually eat more dessert than the other food. I like the humus (sp?) that they have. I had never tried it until we went to Boma the first time. And I usually like the meat (fish, beef or whatever). I especially like the banana bread pudding with warm vanilla sauce.

I personally didn't care for their mac & cheese & I love mac & cheese-it was very bland. But the rest of the kid's section is fantastic! Their chicken strips were the best I've ever had, fries were great and I also really liked their spagetti & meatballs.

I'm fairly picky when it comes to exotic foods, and at Boma I ate almost entirely out of the childrens area. I wasn't paying for that particular meal, so I didn't really care, but I wouldn't been kind of upset if I was. I mean yes, there will be something to eat, but I don't think it's worth it at that price.. But that's entirely up to you!

I don't think boma is really that exotic.

When we were there, they had BBQ ribs, chicken, and prime rib. Their spices are probably 'african inspired' but that is about it. Some of the side dishes and soups are probably exotic, but some are more simple as well.

I don't think your husband will need to resort to the kids selections on the buffet. But it will be nice to know it is there, and it is a great experience to try things that you otherwise wouldn't order off of a menu. If he doesn't like something he doesn't have to feel guilty about not eating it.

DH and I are very adventurous eaters but on our most recent trip last month we took a couple who are very picky. They had no trouble finding plenty to eat at BOMA without even going to the children's section. They both loved the prime rib (sauces are on the side and not on the meat). There were also some ribs there and chicken. They liked the chicken although they said it was a bit spicy. There are different salads that are not exotic and plenty of fruit. The only thing they stayed away from was the soup station. The great thing about a buffet is that you can take a small sampling of something and if you don't like it, you don't have to eat and can go back and try something else. Our friends did pick a few things that they didn't like at all but they just left it on the plate on the table when they went back for their second trip through.

Yep, what GB said! We love Boma!

There is all sorts of wonderful food at Boma-no need to be scared. :goodvibes You can go as basic or as "exotic" as you like.
