I've always wondered about that. I find his commercials to be very annoying, just because he talks so loud, AND, his commercials are twice as long as others. I always just change the channel when he comes on.

I went to the kitchen during a commercial break & from the kitchen I heard all this yelling on TV. I wondered, WTH? It was Billy.

I often wonder why the director or the sound man doesn't say, "Billy, you don't have to yell. The microphone will catch it."

I remember reading somewhere where someone asked him why he's always yelling, and he says that he's not yelling, it's just his tone.

Just saw a commerical of his on tv tonight. It reminded me that my DS's answering message on his cell is a recording of Billy Mays saying his signature "Hi, Billy Mays here".
