When we were at WDW when DD#1 as 9 months old the baby care centers had small free packets of baby ceral (rice and formula I think). Does anyone know if they still have these?

Baby PhD is just starting ceral and doesn't eat too much. It would be great to just grab once of these instead of lugging a bunch around.

I don't know about the baby centers but I used to be able to buy a box of say 10 individual size servings of Gerber rice cereal at the grocery store. Not all stores in my area had them but a few did. They were a bit bigger than my kids would eat for 1 meal but easy to fold down the top of the envelope and put in a zip lock bag. I've also used the Gerber jarred cereal & fruit when traveling though I did prefer the plastic "jars" which were brand new with my last baby. I did run out of fruit on the trip when my DD was 11 months old and they did sell the fruit 2 packs at the baby center for about double the cost of the grocery store.

The store by me does sell them (I also picked up a few samples at the Dr. office at her 6 month appt.) I was planning on bringing them, but the ones they had before were carnation I think and had flormula in them. DD is breast feed only, but I am not pumping milk for her ceral on vacation ;) so I was thinking of using the kind with formula there. I have started mixing some banana in the ceral so I think I will get some of the gerber plasic baby food containers to mix and use bottled water.

Anything to carry less around. It is so much eaiser just to breast feed her. But I guess I have to let her grow up some time (still breast feeding her, just one or 2 small serving so ceral a day to get used to food.)

I think she could go with out, we just started a last week. I am trying to be sure she has a few different kinds because I don't want to start anything new while we are there.

A lot of babies just regress to bottle or breast while on vacation, so I am aware that might happen. I am also thinking I am going to end up feeding her a bit at night since she is so distracted during the day and doesn't eat well when she isn't at home. She is also bitting me when she isn't REALLY hungery.

I see more visits to the baby care sations this trip.

I believe Carnation stopped giving the free samples of cereal. (I'm not sure if they are still sponsoring the Baby Care Centers at this point either.)

It was GREAT while it lasted though. We utilized several of those free packets on DD's first trip, but could not find them again when we took DS for his first time 3 years later.

However, the water coolers are still at the Baby Care Centers, so you don't need to bring bottled water for the purpose of mixing the baby's food if you plan to feed her there. My kids tended to eat better at the Baby Care Centers where the only distraction was one or two other families and the TV. It was nice to let them have their meals in a relatively peaceful place.

Have a great time!
