I don't, but I work for one of their vendors and I'm in HD every day.

As far as I know, Home Depot has never given their associates discounts on retail purchases. They have had a couple of "friends and family weekends" with special discounts for associates and people they know, but that's just something they've started doing recently.

On the other hand, they do have really good benefits such as insurance, employee stock purchases, etc., for the full timers. I'm not sure about the benefits for part timers.

This wont help you but I know Lowes gives a 10% discount to employees.

My friend works for Home Depot and they definately don't get a discount. She was buying all new appliances for her kitchen and when she found them cheaper at Lowe's, she asked if they would at least match the price. They said no and she ended up buying everything at Lowe's.

Lowes will also match the price.

That's insane! They wouldn't match the price? In today's retail climate, you need to hold on to every customer who intends to make a purchase. My (the one I work for) dept. store has always honored a lower advertised price from the competition.

We made a large carpet purchase at Home Depot about two months ago. When we completed the transaction, I gave the sales woman a 10% off coupon that I got on the internet. She said "You've GOT to tell me where you got this! I need one for myself. I've got a bunch of things I need for my house and we don't get any discount. I could really use one of these" ....Nuf said!
