Does anyone use liquid "lip stain"?

I've seen ads all over for matte liquid lip stains (Lipsense, etc). Does anyone have any experience using them. I've tried long wear lipsticks in the past, but they always made my lips super dry. After spending time with my sister and her kids last weekend, she pointed out that I've become "That Aunt." The one who always left big lip prints on us when we were kids.
I don't want to be That Aunt, I need some new lip products! Any recommendations?

There is a difference between lip stains and liquid lipsticks. Liquid lipsticks are mostly matte and do dry down. They will settle into lines and flakes on lips so you have to exfoliate really well. These are incredible popular right now. They do tend to be drying but most won't transfer once they dry down. Pretty much every brand has these right now. Just make sure you choose the matte or ultra matte formula. Other formulas tend not to dry down all the way and thus transfer like a regular bullet lipstick.

There are also lip stains that are usually a liquid that leave a stain but otherwise absorb into the lips. These leave behind a more I just ate a Popsicle look. These don't transfer either but don't have an opaque lipstick look.

I think this is what my daughter uses. She LOVES it. It took her awhile to get a steady hand and not "color outside the lines" :) Its crazy how you apply it and then peel it off.

My daughters are in all star cheer. We are required full make up. For lips I've tried everything! Sephora is so unforgiving! Doesn't dry fast at all!
Our issue lips have to be red. Red. Lady of the night.. hooker red!

IT makes somewhat of a good lip stain. I swear by lipstains, I get mine from my salon though.

Like I said, try the Revlon Balm Stain. "Romantic" is a true red, we will be using it this year, and it only sets each girl back $7 at Target. Trust me, if a team of shivering ice-skaters can't lick this stuff off, cheerleaders will be fine.

I'm not a huge lip stain fan, but I do have some liquid lipsticks I use. My favorite colors are from the Bare Minerals Gen Nude collection. All of the colors are very neutral. The con to this line is that it stays a bit tacky on your lips and I've found there to be a tiny bit of transfer, and just not as long lasting.

IMO, Stila and Smashbox liquid lipsticks are the longest lasting but because of this, also the most drying. They really suck up into your lips leaving them feel dry, which I kind of hate. Catch 22 for me!

I'll try it!
Our new season starts soon.
Thank you

Sephora's liquid matte lip stain is my favourite of the liquids. Otherwise I like Lorac, Nyx, Nars, & Urban Decay. Make sure to blot!

My DD's figure skating team uses the Revlon crayon balm stain. Good stuff. It stays forever and helps them avoid getting chapped lips from the cold conditions at the rink.

I'll have to try this. I swear by Revlon's Colorstay eyeliner. It goes on and sets like a Sharpie marker and doesn't come off until I wash my face. :thumbsup2 I tried an old version of their Colorstay lipsticks which did stain my lips and stayed on forever, but it was way too dry and the color closest to what I like was way too dark. If their crayon balm stain works, I'm in!

I like Vincent Longo's lip stain (which is available on Amazon). To keep my lips from drying out, I apply moisturizing balm or gloss on top.
