Does anyone think Luke from the VP DVD is a little on the annoying side??

Aw, come on....he's just a bit WIRED! even my 13 year olds think he's a bit annoying. Although, he could be just on a DISNEY HIGH! my son is a little like him in that respect, when it comes to Disney...he never shushes up! he gets SO excited which to me is a wonderful thing and I am in no big hurry for him to ever out grow it!

I just watched the dvd again last night and yeah, Luke is quite annoying. He says the weirdest things and gets right up to the camera. "primo suprimo!" go away! All in all though I just like to watch the dvd because it gets me excited to go to WDW. So annoying Luke or not, I'll watch. (Though I do enjoy when he gets doused on Kali River Rapids...)

Whoever wrote the script for Luke is the one that should be hung. Do teens really talk like that? My DS8 likes him because of the rides that he likes to go on.

DD6 however likes Dave although we couldn't get her to go on the Jungle Cruise to sit on the floating bench. Something about boats scares her for some reason.

I enjoy watching it only because it gets me in the mood for more WDW!

I want to marry Dave! I laugh every time I see him doing the rock, paper, scissors for the Coke, and when he asks the woman to take his photo (and then says "do you have a camera? you can email it to me") and then when he gets all these other people in the photo ("you're from Ireland? You're in the photo!"). And when he gets to the bottom of the water slide - is it Summit Plummet? - and says slowly "must... find... hammock." I just love him! He's the tour guide I need!

And Luke - he's okay. Actually, I really like the part when he's talking about EE and has the Yeti doll and the Luke doll talking (and then the Yeti doll eats the Luke doll. "Uh, Mr. Yeti, I want to leave now." I find that hilarious too.

Not crazy about either of the women. Why don't we have someone with an actual small child in tow to show all the kid-type rides?

But maybe I just have a weird sense of humour.

I dislike Luke because he looks like a slob.
Some guys can look great with long hair. He does NOT. Long, straight hair actually in the eyes looks terrible.

I like Erin, but her enthusiasm is forced and way over exaggerated.

I disagree about the whole Luke thing. I think that everyone was perfect for their roles in that video. They are afterall basically tour guides in a way. So they have to be enthusiastic! Videos like this usually are somewhat over the top. Luke was suppose to appeal to the younger viewers I guess. I thought he was just as entertaining as the rest. Dave was a little over the top with his benches, but he's still my fav. And I think Erin was very likeable and her voice was cute lol. Whatever, its still an awesome video. One of my family's fav to get into the Disney spirit!

Luke is arguably the most annoying character Disney has ever created.

This is exactly the way I feel. Being English, I found all of the presenters way over the top (could just about tolerate Dave, but even he was corny). All the other promotional videos for the UK have been presented by presenters from the UK (well, all the ones I've recieved), so I just don't know why we got the American one. The UK is just not ready for that extreme enthusiasm and fast editing for that matter. I dont think I saw a shot for more than 2 seconds. It ws giving me motion sickness. Saying that, I do still watch it because it does show alot of WDW including DTD and Disney Quest. I have masterd the art of my brain filtering their voices out and seeing the landscape behind them.

EDA: Just wanted to mention I don't think the UK will ever be ready for that extreme enthusiasm. I am relieved to read so many American people here agree with me on this one as well

Luke and Dave are great. People just don't appreciate them as much as they should. I hope they bring them back on a brand new edition (with nothing repeated).

I hate Luke. Every time I watch that DVD (which is pretty often and usually just because I miss WDW), I cringe during his parts.

It would be so much better if he would just back up from the camera a little and stop pretending to speak Spanish. I can't imagine how someone who actually is Hispanic must think when they hear him say some of that stuff.

I do love Dave, though.

I love watching the other people on the rides with him. He's going "WOO HOO" and everyone else in the car is just looking at him like he's nuts. Especially on Kali. LOL!

He's way overdone! DD13 and DS11 think he's ridiculous as well! DD says he's a haircut away from being a geek!

But the other ones don't bother me.
