Does anyone take their own fan to use in resort room??

DH and I have been talking about taking our own fan with us for background noise for during the night. That way hopfully it will cover up the noise of the "roaring" toilets, that I have read about, and the neighobrs next door that might get up way before we want to wake up. LOL!! DD is a very light sleeper and we have tried the noise machines {sounds like rain, ocean, etc}, but they are just not loud enough for her.

We are staying at ASMo. Anyone who has stayed there before know if there will be an unused outlet for the fan and refrig that we will also have?

We have done it, while not at WDW resorts, but at another hotel. We all need the noise to sleep. Even had to pick one up at Target on our last trip to DL.

We do. We use it for white noise and for air movement. We've been spoiled by our ceiling fans and I find it hard to sleep without the air movement. So I always travel with a small portable fan now. We used the fan at the All Stars a few times.

I always bring my portable fan. I started bringing it because it oscilates, which I thought might fool the motion sensors in the room at the CR. I thought the back and forth motion would keep the A/C running while we were out of the room. It didn't work.

We have been packing a portable fan ever since we stayed at CSR and nearly roasted. It was November which maintenace said was cool for them but being from the frozen North it was very hard to sleep for us. And like ccotis I too thought it would fool the sensors in the A/C at AKL. LoL Didn't work there either.
