I am getting a little worried about The Boardwalk Inn! We are staying there May 13-17 and never see any posting on it and have hardly gotten a reply on the questions I have asked about it! In the past we have stayed at The yacht Club and there is an entire network for that resort, Dixie Landings (Magnolia Mansions and Alligator Bayou), All Star Sports and Corronado Springs. Any Boardwalkers out there?

I lovelovelove the Boardwalk! Since my visit there this February, that is the place to stay from now on. I took my mother for her first visit to the world, and she was overwhelmed by this property. She felt like she was in a movie!

I started a thread about this when I returned in February, here is the link...

If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them!

I stay there any chance I get:D

I think a big reason you may see fewer posts about it is simply because it is a much smaller resort than the others. There are 378 rooms which makes it less than half the size of most other Disney resorts.

If you search old posts, I'm sure you will see most people that stay there seem to love it!

We stayed at the BWI in Jan. 2001. It was our first trip back to WDW in almost 15 years. What a difference. We picked it because of the location. We had our 2 1/2 year old son with us plus we were doing the land/sea package and only had 3 days at the parks. We LOVED the resort. So much so DH never wanted to stay anywhere else other than that general area. We originally had ressies to stay at the YC for our trip this Oct. But DS asked daddy to stay at a hotel the monorail goes through, so we're staying at the Poly. this time. You'll love the BWI!

We love the Boardwalk!! We have stayed at most resorts (all deluxes) and it is by far and away our favourite. It is, as Dixie Luvr said, a small resort in comparison with our deluxe. The service has always been impeccable, the rooms are beautiful, the pool is great (our kids are 12 and 10 and love it). Do not worry anymore about the Boardwalk - you will love it!

We have never stayed at the Inn but we are DVC members at the Boardwalk and stay there all the time... We love it...

It is because those of us who stay at BW like to keep it a secret. Have stayed at all the deluxes other than AKL and Yacht Club. BW (both sides, Inn and Villas) is, by a large margin, the best resort on site (including over the GF, my second choice). Ideal location and rooms, and good pool, shops, and restaurants, and nightly activities right at your fingertips.

I really loved the BWI too! The room decor and the atmosphere of the resort is just so relaxed and fun. I plan on staying there for at least part of my honeymoon at WDW, so you know I liked it! Enjoy your trip!

I am just back {got in about 1:30am} from a 12 day stay at the Boardwalk Inn. I am in very serious Disney withdrawal. Our stay was more than magical...we were transported to a time and place we do not experience in our everyday lives. Our room , as usual, lovely...we ate at the Flying Fish 4 times, great food and service, the location is the best on property{for me} and I definately agree with Drusba, we do not want too many people knowing just how special it is . I will post more about my trip later, still in the re-entry to real life stage!!

hi: you will love the boardwalk for its location. we're dvc members with the bwv as our "home" resort. it is wonderful to be able to walk to epcot and mgm; it helps to work off some of those extra calories we manage to take in at wdw. there are some really nice restaurants right there as well.

We are also DVC members with our home resort at BWV so we stay there all the time. We will be back there again in less than 2 weeks! IMHO, it is the BEST resort on Disney property!

I just got back 4/30 from the Boardwalk Inn, we had a great time and you can see pics of our room at www.community.webshots.com/user/ghp918
I faxed a room request for an upper level room with an Epcot view and we got it in our room (5306). We could see Illuminations fireworks and our room was awesome. It is my new fav resort!

We are staying there for the first time this October and we are so psyched!
We fell in love with the Boardwalk last year when we stayed at the Swan.
Economically families come to Disney and want to have a good time and
let's face it it can get pretty expensive. So If you want to splurge a little
the Boardwalk is the place to go.

we stayed at BWVillas last summer and loved it!

have res for this aug at BWI

i am getting married at seabreeze point (down from boardwalk) and my entire wedding party is staying at the boardwalk.. it's great.. also having my reception there.. you will have a wonderful time.. trust me..

It is our 21st anniversary while we are at the Boardwalk and I was going to request an upgrade or at least a room with a view. I keep reading about these fax numbers how do you get them?If I get a hold of a fax number what would be a reasonable request? ;)

We are DVC members with the Boardwalk Villas as our home resort. This is by far the best resort we have stayed at and can not imagine staying anywhere else now. You will love it. Our family definitely gives it two thumbs up!!

Can't wait to go again!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

ghp918- Was your balcony facing Epcot? Did you have a view of the lake at all?
