Does anyone see any thing wrong in this chain of thought...?

We're going to WDW August and September of this year. We got annual passes and staying on property both trips so will be getting Magic Bands.

September is the shorter trip for MNSSHP and son's birthday. DS loves Chef Mickey's for breakfast and we will go there once on this trip. Right now I have 2 ADRs holding. The one I would like to keep is for the day we arrive and here is my thinking on it...anyone see any holes in it?

The ADR is for 11:15 AM (end of breakfast)

Plane is scheduled to land at airport 9:05am

We are staying at POP but am thinking then when we get to ME we ask to be put on a Contemporary bus as we have an ADR - don't see any problem in that as ME from airport is fill and go as people land, not reservations as when they pick you up to go home.
So we go to CR and our luggage will go to POP as tagged.

When we get to Contemporary I can give bell services our "on plane" backpack to hold and just take park bag and go to Chef Mickeys.

We have our APs so we don't have to check into Pop to get tickets. We will have our Magic Bands from August trip.

Now if Magic Bands aren't still activated maybe CR guest relations can do it? If not, all we need are our APs to get into MK anyway and if we can't use our preplanned FP+ for that day - it's OK with us.

Then after some time in MK take monorail back to CR to pick up backpack at bell services then cab over to Pop to check in.

Our other choice is to do Chef Mickey's the next morning at 7:40am (that's all they had). I'm just thinking that we'd have to leave POP pretty early to make that ADR - (probably will take cab) and it will be easier just to get up go to food court at POP for quick breakfast then head out..

So, outside of an unforeseen long fight delay, do you see nay problems with the first option? I figure if we do take off or land late I can always contact Disney dining from cell and tell them we cannot make they ADR due to unforeseen flight delays and hopefully they won't charge us the missed ADR fee.

You can only use ME to/from your booked resort. They will not allow you to take it elsewhere.

Well that stinks about ME..I know when they pick you up from resort it's reserved time and bus based on flight times. I thought that when they picked you up buses were filled as people arrived....oh well....there goes plan A thanks for the info.

Quickly though...I have a split stay in Aug. AKV for 2 nights, BWV for 5 nights. I am using DVC points from friend so I am assuming when she gave them my flight info for ME it will be known that arriving resort is different than departing resort.

please note, that you said Sept. I would allow extra time as a cushion, as this is hurricane season. That does NOT mean it will happen in Orlando, but the travel down could be and might be affected. I have had wayyyyy too many trips badly affected by that kind of weather.

You may get off the plane and be there and all might be well. Just consider this.

Stuff Happens.

Have a great visit. :goodvibes

Oh fwe're rom NY and we are aware of hurricane season..especially since DH is a weather buff! We went down last year same time and have gone early Sept. other times and thankfully have not yet fun into any problems. We like the take the first flight out (6:30am) so just in case there are any delays we should still get out first...unfortunately, you never know with air travel...but since ME won't work out anyway, guess we go to CM's the next morning...

I am not sure if that is allowed with ME as I have never taken it, but regardless if your flight is even a little bit delayed you will miss your ADR and be charged the no-show fee. Pretty big hole in your plan if you ask me.
