We're going to WDW August and September of this year. We got annual passes and staying on property both trips so will be getting Magic Bands.
September is the shorter trip for MNSSHP and son's birthday. DS loves Chef Mickey's for breakfast and we will go there once on this trip. Right now I have 2 ADRs holding. The one I would like to keep is for the day we arrive and here is my thinking on it...anyone see any holes in it?
The ADR is for 11:15 AM (end of breakfast)
Plane is scheduled to land at airport 9:05am
We are staying at POP but am thinking then when we get to ME we ask to be put on a Contemporary bus as we have an ADR - don't see any problem in that as ME from airport is fill and go as people land, not reservations as when they pick you up to go home.
So we go to CR and our luggage will go to POP as tagged.
When we get to Contemporary I can give bell services our "on plane" backpack to hold and just take park bag and go to Chef Mickeys.
We have our APs so we don't have to check into Pop to get tickets. We will have our Magic Bands from August trip.
Now if Magic Bands aren't still activated maybe CR guest relations can do it? If not, all we need are our APs to get into MK anyway and if we can't use our preplanned FP+ for that day - it's OK with us.
Then after some time in MK take monorail back to CR to pick up backpack at bell services then cab over to Pop to check in.
Our other choice is to do Chef Mickey's the next morning at 7:40am (that's all they had). I'm just thinking that we'd have to leave POP pretty early to make that ADR - (probably will take cab) and it will be easier just to get up go to food court at POP for quick breakfast then head out..
So, outside of an unforeseen long fight delay, do you see nay problems with the first option? I figure if we do take off or land late I can always contact Disney dining from cell and tell them we cannot make they ADR due to unforeseen flight delays and hopefully they won't charge us the missed ADR fee.
