Does anyone run between DL and CA for fastpasses?

All this talk about fastpasses has me wondering. Is it worth it to send a runner to both DL and CA for fastpasses? Is that too much running around? Seems like if it was super crowded and you wanted to hit the popular rides it could help cut serious time. Just wondering if anyone does this regularly.

Don't hold me to this, I might be wrong, but I think you can't get a fastpass with a ticket that has not been activated into that park. For example if Mom and kids are in DL and Dad goes to CA with the passes to get a fastpass for a certain ride, Mom and kids tickets still think Mom and kids are in DL so they might not work in CA.

Like I said I could be wrong about this.

I totally thought this too, but I was told I was wrong, and that once tix are activated at one park, they can be used for FPs at the other. Cool, yes? I'm ont usually happy about being wrong, but I was this time. :goodvibes

OP there are many people who do send a runner to get FPs. The esplanade isn't very big, so if you're there on a busy day it can definitely help out!

DBF is usually our runner, we go into DL and get a FP and then he heads over to DCA to get another one for us. You do not have to have your tickets scanned into both parks for them to work, scanning at just one works fine. :) Just remember that you can't leave DL and get back without your tickets. :)

I've just heard from both the Unofficial Guide and HydroGuy's tips that the FPs between the two were not conected. However, I hadn't considered "what if" some of the family has not yet entered the second park?

Everyone will have to have been in ONE of the parks that day, and then their admission media will work for FPs in both parks. You can't do this if people are sleeping and haven't been in even one park that day, though. (would be so convenient if you could!)

Yes, I have run between parks many times. With GRR apparently connected back into the FP network it is less valuable now. Previously I would run over to DCA on some days at 11AM and grab FPs for Soarin and GRR to use for later in the day. Now you can apparently only get one or the other. I may not do that anymore if GRR stays connected. :sad1:

I agree, this is a good time for me to be wrong!

This is probably the rule I was thinking of!

We did this daily. Do not wait very late to get your soarin fastpasses.

First thing in the morning we stay in DL before it gets crowded. Around lunch we pick up one last FP in DL then go to DCA and get a FP there first thing. Then we all may zip back and forth through out the afternoon a few times. We don't send a runner because no one wants to miss out on anything. We have teen boys, not small children, so we are in full commando mode. And we don't like to do the sneaking into line thing where the rest of the family is.
