Does anyone really care what color Belle's dress is?

I think the color implies whether she was in dressy clothes or regular street clothes. If someone says Belle was in her yellow dress to me that means she was dressed up for the Ball. She's more princessy in when all dressed up. Honestly I think my DD would be disapointed to see Cinderella in anything but her blue dress - to her that makes Cinderella a princess.

Do the potatoes taste better if she has on the blue dress?

LOL! That line made me crack up.

When it comes to me meeting characters, I like having pictures of them in different dresses / outfits. For instance, I've seen Belle in her blue dress every time I've seen her, except for the time I saw her right after Cinderellabration, and then I got my picture taken with her and the prince, when she was in a gold gown, but not the usual yellow gown, this was like an extra-fancy gold gown. Then there's also her Christmas gown, which I've seen pictures of at MVMCP, so hopefully I'll get a pic of her wearing that.

I'm really not trying to start a fight. I promise. I just wonder why people always say what color her dress is when they are referring to a character meal. I find that so odd, but maybe it's just me. Do the potatoes taste better if she has on the blue dress?

Its a character meal....we usually go get breakfast afterwards because the food is barely edible. Doesn't matter what the dress is, inedible potatos might as well be plastic.

Edited to add: At the Princess meal, it wouldn't have made any difference if you'd set chocolate covered strawberries in front of my daughter. There was no way the food was going into her mouth while we were in that room.

Where was this photo taken?

This thread is great! I've asked about seeing Belle in her yellow dress a couple of times this year. It's crazy the things a parent will do for their children, isn't it?

We've seen Belle in blue at CRT last Dec., and she seemed homely compared to the other princesses. This Dec., we will be going to Norway for breakfast and hope to see her in yellow there!

How come? was she too excited? :goodvibes

Pretty much. Character meals are not a good place to get food into my daughter. And I think the food at them is gross....so we aren't going for the food.

(At PSB, Belle was in her blue dress - which is my favorite, too. I'm not a huge fan of the "princessy" princesses. I like Belle in her blue dress, Mulan - who is not really a princess at all)

Where in MK during MVMCP was this taken?

It was taken right off of Main Street (if you are heading out of the park, it was on the left side) on a side street between two stores.

About half way down Main Street.

I wanted a picture of Belle in her christmas dress. I wasn't feeling well and DH had the camera so who appears but Belle in red dress going past me towards main street and DH is coming towards me past her. I said get her picture and like an enquirer photographer off he goes. He had to go all the way down main street before she stop but he got it. You gotta love a DH that will do that without even stopping to question why.

About the food and being too excited to eat.

Whenever I went to character breakfasts as a child, (this includes when I was a teenager,) I never ate any food. Maybe a few bites. I was always to excited to eat.

On the other hand I've never had bad food. I though CP's food was great, and 1900 PF and CRT were good, but nothing special. (This are all based on the breakfast food.) I liked the food at CRT at lunch better.
