Does anyone own a Ford Freestyle?

We have to sell my truck this spring and buy something more carseat friendly. We looked at a few SUVs, but saw the Ford Freestyle and thought it looked good for what we need to be able to carry (2 adults, baby in a carseat, and 2 larger dogs)

Does anyone have one of these? What do you think of it?

We looked at them and took one for a test drive.... but it just did not seem roomy enough for us. We are a family of four - all over 6' tall so that makes a difference.

We do have a 500 (the car version of the Freestyle) and LOVE it. We are anxious for the Edge to come out - you might want to look into that too, as it might meet your needs as well.

We just bought one to replace my explorer. I need to add the fact that I wasn't happy about not getting another explorer, but agreed to the new vehicle.

I LOVE IT! I can't believe just how much I love it. We fit SIX adults in there to go to a birthday dinner and everyone had leg room. My DH is 6'3 and had plenty of room. It rides better than my explorer and the first few days I had it I had ice/snow to get through. The Freestyle handled better than my explorer used to handle. I have no idea what it will be like in comparison with very deep snow, but so far I am pleasantly surprised, plus the fact it gets better gas mileage and cost 100 less per month on my lease.

We had been waiting for the edge to come out. DH just drove one last week (he works at a dealership) and called me up to say we definitely made the right decision.

We love our Freestyle! We had a couple of problems right after we got it, but they were fixed and I think it had a lot to do w/ being the very first year they were out.

I wanted to add a few points. I originally wanted the second row to be the captain's seats, instead, due to having to get one NOW w/rebates off the lot, I ended up with the 2/1 configuration in the second row. With hockey and me being a teacher this will work out well if I ever have to take home extra bags and boys, and when I'm hauling things back and forth from my classroom.

One of my comments when looking at it the first time was how great it would have been when the kids were younger. I can see the layout working much better than it had with either of our two minivans we purchased during our kids' early years.

I just bought one on Nov. 30!!! I love it so much. I didn't buy it brand new but hey new to me!!! 2006 model with little milage. It's totally deck out with sun roof and leather seats!! The second row is captain chairs which I really didn't want but oh well I live with it. I only paid 19500.00 for it

What kind of gas milage does yours get. Right now mine is averaging 20.8 miles in town and 22.9 on Hwy. Is that good cuz I thought it was suppose to get 25 on the Hwy.

My daughter and son-in-law have had theirs for a year and a half, and they absolutely love it! It has the captain's chairs in the second row, and she really wanted the other configuration, but this is probably better. They have three kids, and have gone on two fairly lengthy vacation trips. They do put some stuff in a car-top carrier when they go on trips.

My 2207 gets about the same mpg. I don't know of any car that actually gets the mpg posted on the sticker. I am so happy its more than my Explorer which I swear was getting gallons per mile!

I was really expecting to hate this car, but I really love it! It was a hit at all the Christmas celebrations, too, with all the different family members wanting to give it a test drive.
