Does anyone out there have any good deals for ITouch players?

Ok I know that this has probably been asked before but I can't seem to find anything on the board that is current. I want to buy my DD12 a 8GB ITouch for here fantastic grades this year. She goes to Catholic school and has received first honors so far this year and we anticipate first honors for the whole year when she is done school in June.

I am not above buying a refurbished one and I have been to the Apple store online and have priced the new and used ones and the price difference is only about twenty or thirty dollars. I was hoping to get a little better deal but I know that these kind of items dont usually sell for much less than that.

So if anyone has a line on any extra special promo or just came across a really good offer please let me know.

It seemed like a good deal to me-we did the free shipping site to store and are still waiting for it to get there, so if you are in a hurry for it, that might be something to consider.

did u look at the refurbished for the 2nd generation instead of the current? i just bought my son a refurbished one 2nd g - 16g got 199.99

I bought mine from QVC. It was $299, but came with quite a few accessories. It was available on easy pay which is why I decided to go ahead and get one. The easy pay option lets you pay it off in 4 monthly installments.

I used my cash back bonus $ from my Discover card to get mine before Christmas. I'm going to get my son in law one next Christmas the same way. Just a thought if you do have a Discover card.

If you can swing it, I would get one that is larger than an 8 GB. At least a 16GB.

I have a 32GB one and I have some songs, but not tons....one movie (the Princess and the Frog) which takes up space...a few tv episodes...and lots of apps (mostly free ones) and it's half full.

the 4g comes out in September but by then I'll be closer to my contract being up and able to get a Nexus One phone [Sprint]....

A friend of mine told me about it. She ordered and will receive it later this week. She didn't find anything that says it is refurbished or anything like that. She did a search and didn't find any negative feedback about the company. We'll see...
