Does anyone know why Best Western hotels around DLR booked up from Sept. 10-25th,2008

Hi, we got back from a trip we took in November, and had a great time, and soooo wish to be back at Disneyland now that we're home again! Just as it's a looooong way down Splash Mountain, it's a looooong way before we can go again, but we were looking at the September 2008 dates, and we see that it is already booked up at all 3 Best Westerns in that area, from Sept. 10-25th. (The Raffles, the Anaheim Inn, and the Park Place Inn, all Best Western.)

Does anyone know, is there some major event going on during those 2 weeks, that would make the parks be extremely crowded?

That would have been my first guess too. If there are several conventions going on at once a bunch of hotels do fill up quite fast.

Well you could check the convention website. I think it's odd too. I checked the Desert Inn and Suites and it all says N/A but I can't tell if that's because its so far in advance or booked. The Anaheim Plaza Inn is open though. I was hoping to go around that time too as my AP expires in Sept. I wanted to use it once more before the holidays.

We were going to look at booking at BWPPI at a similar time next year. From the Best Western website bookings, they don't have any rooms released yet from the beginning of June.
